I PASSED KTIP!

I have a job next year.

And I might have a room next year rather than Sra. Speedy (my faithful cart - and yes it does have eyes, a mouth, and a speech bubble that says "Hola, me llamo Sra. Speedy" and yes my kindergarteners say hola to her in the hallway sometimes before they say hi to me.)

Yay! Congratulations! Not that I doubted your passing it, mind. But I know how it feels to get that confirmation.

And I think it's awesome that your school has foreign language lessons available to kindergarteners. So. Freaking. Awesome.

It is freaking awesome. It's why I left Ohio to teach in Kentucky actually. My whole district has foreign language K-12. And the whole state is heading that way. We have a state-wide review of languages coming up and most primary schools are going to have to get on board soon or fail the review.

Sometimes they say hello and I have to remind them she doesn't understand English. ;-) I'm looking into buying a horn or a bike bell for it since the hallways can get crowded sometimes. Although that might have to wait to see if I get a room for next year or not.
