I have a story that I've started and been intending to use for this, but I just wanted to clarify on "clear beginning, middle and end" because... Well, honestly this thing is more of a sit-com than anything, and it has a sort of chapter "episode" format, in that... Things happen, but they're mostly resolved within an episode and the over arcing plot is fairly minimal. The episodes tie together, and follow on and such but.... The total structure is basically as cohesive as a season of Friends or Sabrina the Teenage Witch, so I wanted to check how clear the beginning, middle and end needed to be?
(I realise I'm probably being completely paranoid here, I just recently had a fic rejected from a Big Bang for being a "crossover" due to featuring a very brief cameo, so I'm a little wary at the moment about rule rigidity. So apologies for that. :))
I have a previously written and posted fic that I wanted to work with for this big bang. I wasn't satisfied with the ending and wanted to write more for it, but the deadline was up and I had to post it. The plan was to edit the ending, write an addition 10k of new material, and then combine the new stuff with the original fic to create a new, more complete piece.
We're going to have to go with no on this one because the fic has been posted online, as per the FAQ we do allow WIPs only if they have not been posting in part or full anywhere online.
I need to drop out as an author this round. Next year I'll be more prepared and will have more time. But don't be sad, I'll sign up as an artist instead :D

You don't have to fear rule rigidity here, the stories just have to be about vampires and on anything we're willing to work with people.

Is that something you would allow?
