Artwork: Peter Forsberg

I've been working on this one for . . . over a month, lol? I started it when I was in the hotel room in Denver for the Avalanche/Flyers game to honor my favorite player and I finally finished to my satisfaction on Monday. Then I had to fiddle with the color on the computer because my scanner hates pencils.

LONG STORY SHORT: I drew Peter Forsberg and ( Read more... )

Really sharp work on the helmet, and I dig the tones in his face. Nicely done!

Thank you so much! The helmet was a real time consumer and a struggle, so I'm really glad you like how it turned out.

Okay, well, dude. This is fantastic. The hair looks like it would have been the easiest part from afar, but then you look closer, and holy shit, Bekah, that is incredible. So many COLORS.

I am absolutely fixated on the SKATES. and the visor and the helmet and the entire uniform, honestly, that is freaking amazing. I am baffled at how well you did that. I mean, not surprised, but wow, it looks so difficult to do and I cannot ever imagine being able to draw anything that's remotely this good.

TL;DR /rambles THIS IS AWESOME, YOU ROCK.

Man, that hair. I am not 100% happy because I just could not replicate the weird almost but not quite strawberry blonde light brown goldy color of Foppa's hair at all. It ended up looking really dirty and muddy, so I added the darker auburns to clean it up. So much color goes into hair, it's insane.

OMG THOSE SKATES. I am super jazzed you noticed them because the laces (and the way they criss cross and interlace and stuff) was something that's really hard and I'm freak out that it turned out okay because it was such a small detail that became totally time consuming. And the helmet. And that damn yeti foot. OMG THAT FOOT, I CAN'T DRAW FOOTPRINTS.

THANK YOU! YOU ROCK!
