That was beautiful and as always so perfectly in character. You perfectly capture the feeling that comes with knowing you've got time.
Anndddd.... wet daniel? yes please :D

Awww, thank you so much! Admittedly I struggled to think of a spot that wouldn't go totally offside from canon but could still be happy and wasn't set in S6, and clearly it was a little difficult. ;P But I like to think that Daniel choosing to stay would have changed the outcome of all the later stuff into something less ... death-filled. ;D

heat through cotton from the imprint, the shape of his fingers.
Oh man, one of the reasons I love your stuff so much is that it's so visceral. I'm not sure if that's exactly the word I want, but--I don't know, you always pin down very clear physical impressions of things. It's beautiful and wrenching.

I also love how you can write intense positive emotion without making it sappy or too much. ♥

Yaaaaay! Thank you so, so much -- your feedback is always so fantastic, and sometimes I feel like I concentrate on the physicality of scenes or interactions too much, so it's really, really validating to hear you feel like it works.

And oh my gosh, I thought it was pure sap, so again, to have you say it wasn't is seriously a massive, massive compliment. Thanks again, so much! :D

Awww, this is lovely! Thank you! And I think it's pretty shiny too, and if I imagine that this slight change in events leads to an AU where no one dies past this point and Daniel and Charlotte actually live happily ever after together, it becomes even happier. :D

Thank you so much for filling my prompt! I've been so busy since I left it that I'd completely forgotten about it, so it was a wonderful surprise and totally brightened my day! ♥

You're very, very welcome, and thank you for the fantastic prompt -- so glad to hear you liked it! And yep, that's my inclination too -- that from there on out it was happily ever after, too. :D

Hee! I am in full agreement! Although I have to say if I could turn the frozen donkey wheel, there's more than a few things I would march into the past!writer's room to stop. ;D

This is gorgeous. I love that opening line, it's so evocative and it makes perfect sense that Charlotte feels the need to hold onto to truths.

I love that Dan tells her he'll stay here, that's such a subtle, interesting change. It sets a beautiful tone for their relationship. Wonderful fic. :D

Awwwww, thank you so, so much! I feel like I'm kind of always harping on the same themes with Charlotte, but I'm just so fascinated with what she would consider truths and how those "truths" (like where she came from) inform her life and death.

I still don't really know why I pinpointed that moment as one that could become happy, since they're both still on the island when it comes, but I'm glad it managed to shift the tone of the scene a little bit. You're too wonderful in your feedback -- thank you so much! :D
