I just ordered the first two books from the SF book club, mostly because so many of my flist love them. This review, however, made me LOL. :)

Lol, I'm glad. There are SO MANY of these books, so here's hoping they don't all rub me the wrong way while also being good.

Once you get into the books focused on Miles, they are FANTASTIC. I've never read the first ones you're reading now, though. (I started reading them in the order they were published, not chronological.)

That's what I've heard from everyone and the next one on the list is a Hugo winner so it's legitimately part of my project and I think it's the one where Miles is born. So from now on there is Miles and life should be peachy. (I actually found a list with all the stories/books etc in this universe and stuff would say "this one's ok but suffers from the lack of Miles" etc. so I figure things should even out into the realm of awesome soon.)
