[the video doesn't show anything but a blur of colors at first, a flash of pink before settling in on an Asian looking face with one side of his head swathed in clean bandages. Not at all a silly question - we've all had to ask it.

She's one of the many creatures populating this world besides humans, known as pokémon. They can, well, fight. They've got certain abilities. You're supposed to raise them. They'll fight either other wild pokémon or other trained ones, and they grow in the process - unless you'd rather be a breeder, in which case you mostly nurture them and breed them for their offspring.

[He stops himself here for a bit.] It's a lot of information to take in.

Well... Actually, it'd be more correct to say that you can choose to fight with her. Whether or not you really do is your--and her--choice.

Please to meet you, Subaru-san. It's all a little much to take in at first... But eventually you get used to it. If you-- [Insert instructions of how to get the pokedex information on Chansey here] -- then you can learn more about the pokemon you have.
