I've arrived safely in Violet City. It took me longer than I anticipated, but I made sure to pack extra supplies.

Oh, and-- [he smiles a little, turning the camera to his bed in the inn to show his Pokemon; Hokuto, the Chansey, and Kamui, the Eevee, have recently been joined by a Skarmory and energetic Charmander, and they appear to be playing a ( Read more... )

I remember buying an old rod at the PokeMart in Violet City if that helps any.

Sure thing!

Wasn't travel really hard though?

It wasn't as bad as it could have been. [he smiles a little.] With Karen to help me out, the ice wasn't as perilous. [his feet were constantly wet, though.]

Good to see that the eggs hatched and the Pokemon are healthy looking. [H-He's so proud. sniff]

And I saw some fishing rods down by the Pokemon market. I haven't bought one though.

They're extremely energetic! Seiichirou seems intent on trying to fly away, and Karen set my blankets on fire.

Twice.

I'll have to see about getting a water Pokemon... It might help temper Karen some. A rod seems like a good start.

[Urk-- Blankets on fire...that doesn't sound good] Yeah, kinda have to watch out with new born Charmanders. If you ever need help, I'm in the area.

And yeah, that might be a good start. There's some streams and ponds around Violet you can fish.

I think it's just a case of being patient with her. [there's an indignant CHAARRR! in the background, followed by a frantic sounding VEE!, followed by the tell-tale sound of something being lit on fire.]

Ah-- hold on! [Subaru drops the gear, runs over, and returns a few moments later after a small scuffle, holding a singed Eevee by the scruff and a petulant looking Charmander in his other arm.]

...and making sure that I have enough money to pay off any debts incurred by her current inability to control herself. [Sigh.]

Congratulations on arriving safely, Sumeragi-san. I hope the rest of your trip wasn't too difficult.

Thank you. It wasn't too hard. I was honestly expecting it to be much harder. I think I'll wait before setting off for Azalea, though.

I'll make sure to. Hokuto will make sure I do, if I try to stay up too long.

[Guess who didn't realize you were here until just now and also thinks you're a vampire.] ... eh? You're here, too?

[you'll get a blank, surprised look in response, then. his expressions are always a little weird these days, what with the fake eye. Who are you? You look a little like Fuuma. It's creepy.]

Ah... yes? I've-- I've been here since December.

[No, I'm definitely not Fuuma.] Hm. Right. [How did he not notice? If Kurogane were more nosy he's ask if Seishirou were around, too.]

[no, you're not. your eyes are a different color.]

I'm-- sorry if I sound rude, but have I met you before? I... don't recall you, but I've been sick so I may have forgotten.

Mm, I'm not sure if it's the same in every town, but I do recall see a fishing pole of some sort at the PokéMart!

I'll make sure to check there. Having a water Pokemon on hand when raising a fire Pokemon seems like a smart idea.

Thank you.

Ah, I'm sure that could be very handy, given how appropriately hot-headed fire-types can be! It's really not a problem at all, though~

Karen's still very young, so I'm not sure she quite grasps that when she sets things on fire, it's bad. Being able to temper that a bit would help. [Subaru seems fond of Karen regardless.]
