The dream I've been waiting for....

Last night, for the furst time since she died, I had a vivid dream of Wabbit. It was a wierd but very pleasant dream. For some reason, the subject of her being deceased didn't even occur to me during the dream. Basically, we'd taped the military doing a big no-no, and they were after us to get our videotape back. *hugs* That's great Papa B!

Interesting dream, too.

I had quite the sight yesterday morning. Lacking anything productive to do I turned on CBC Newsworld, and they were doing a Passionate Eye documentary on the Iraq war's propoganda campaign.

Part of it was an actual military video tape of some american soldiers slaughtering a few men. It was terrible to think that they were real people, just doing what they do, then all of a sudden out of no-where death rains from the sky, blowing the crap out of you with a cannon, shooting your trucks to make sure you died.

They were exhibiting the same brutality that I did when I play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas; but in the war, it was real.

Shocking.

I saw that clip some time ago, and it made me sick. The scariest part was the absolute calm with which the helicopter Commander asked "Should we smoke 'em?" Then he got the command and proceeded to shoot everything in sight. That's why I never did technical writing for the (then) lucritive military contracting establishment. I was morally opposed to working on things that killed large numbers of people. The folks who work in it seem to have suspended morals and seem overjoyed when their latest killing machine works as planned. As was said in Jurassic Park: Just because we *can* do it, does that mean we *should* do it?
