So I will finally be getting a kitten at the beginning of July. A neighbour's cat had a litter at the end of April, and they're giving them away for free, and my partner REALLY wants a cat. It will be my first cat, I had a dog before, a beagle

The shoulder-climbing is adorable when they're kittens. It's a wee bit painful when they're full-grown cats. (And yet still adorable.)
