Caroline Forbes: Woman Love Fest, Day 5

I'm sorry I'm not posting anything more impressive tonight, but I just couldn't focus. Thank you, headache :(.

Caroline Forbes ― top 10 season two scenes
(chronologically)

1. When she kicked Damon's ass

It was Caroline taking control over her life, and saying that she wasn't going to be a victim any more. There is nothing I could say about this scene that wasn't already said a hundred times, so, you know... Chapeaux bas!

2. When she compelled her Mom

It just broke my heart. Caroline wanted to trust her Mom, but there were lifes at stake and she didn't want her friends to take the risk; she couldn't expect they would share her trust for Liz. So she did the right thing. The difficult, painful, right thing.

3. When she fooled Katherine

No more pushing Caroline around, Katherine! But, mostly, this scene is about Caroline proving to herself that she could do complicated things, that she was accomplished, resourceful and clever. It was about Caroline proving to herself that she will to make it as a vampire.

4. When Tyler was all dramatic and she just laughed

I could just watch that scene over and over and over again. I didn't expect her to laugh, not after the whole dramatic build-up, but she did and it was so brilliant.

5. When she refused to leave Tyler alone

It's not only about Caroline helping her friend to get through the worst experience of his life (and she does it in the best possible way, if you ask me). Just look at her self-confidence here! This girl is a control freak, and here she has nerves of steel, waiting until the very last minute, even though a mistake could kill her! Just try to imagine season one Caroline helping Tyler out in that cellar. You see my point?

6. When she hugged her friends

This might be the most beautiful scene in TVD so far. Just like Rose, I do believe in friendship, and this is the very essence of friendship. Sometimes you need your friends, because you want to talk about great things, bare your soul and so on, and sometimes you need your friends to grab their pillows, come to you and spend the whole night talking nonsense.

7.When she looked so awesome she made my jaw drop, and I don't even like pink

Ok, so I'm shallow. Caroline, HOW SO PRETTY???

8. When she talked to Tyler after the full moon

Her Mom apparently knows about everything, so Caroline's life is in danger, and Matt left her (normally I'd say that Mommy Issues here are far more important than Boyfriend Issues, but the point is that Matt turned his back on her when she needed him as her friend, not as her boyfriend; Caroline thinks that her own mother is plotting to kill her, and Matt just left the house right after informing her about it!!!). What I love about this scene is that Caroline manages to keep it together and lets Tyler comfort her at the same time; she admits that there is a problem, but she doesn't let it be blown out of proportions.

9. When she watched Gone with the Wind

She is still Caroline, see? Yes, she's grown and she is a vampire now, but she is the same person: she likes her Gone with the Wind just like any other girl, she makes awkward comparisons and she gives lenghty speeches. She is going to take small victories and seize the day. So ok, her world is falling apart right now, but she will live forever and, hell, is she going to make the most of it.

10. When she told her Mom she was not going to be afraid of her any more

Less than two months before she was so petrified she almost let Liz kill Stefan and Damon. This scene might be the biggest milestone for her since she was turned.
