乙一, Otsuichi or おついち is currently my fav japanese authoer (: It's hard to say what genre he writes in but it's definitely not conventional and a few of his books are about deduction and some teens or some weird events in everyday life.

I've never heard of him. I'll have to check him out and hope that there's an English translation.
