Is It Every Person's Nature To Hate Jesus Christ?

Given that people who hear the gospel are able to respond positively by trusting in Christ or not, are believers free to fall away from Christ and cease believing? Just asking.

I would think that certainly, Christians are free to "cease believing," and I know of some who have... or at least have said that they have.

The question I do not know the answer to is whether or not they "fall away" from Christ. Christ words in the gospels have given me reason to think that those who embraced Him would never be cast out of the family. Yet other passages, such as His parable of the soils) indicate that one can indeed fall away.

In a way, I'm glad that I don't know for sure.
