I'd bank from experience that if you're fine with the Joni soles that you should be fine with the Pattis as well (the Minis are the only family I've really heard has dramatically different sizing depending on the shoes. Most of the other families seem more consistent).

As for sizing, you're right in wondering if the size you wear in a sandal might be different from the size you wear in nearly identical shoes that you wear with socks. Judging from a few of the reviews on the Fluevog site, it actually sounds like sizing up a half size might make them fit better (as it seems two of the reviewers did with much success).

Hope this helps!

It does help! ^_^

I find it a bit confusing that in the comments (I'm going through the comments on the Jonis now) some people say they go a size up, other people find they fit true to size, and the notes from the "fit experts" say they fit small. So odd. O_O

And really, I guess having store credit with Fluevog wouldn't be the end of the world. The Hope Promises have to go on sale sometime, right? ^_-

Well, you know the Jonis fit you in a 6 and that your wear them without socks (thank goodness). There's a very strong chance that the Pattis fit like the Jonis. I'm betting you're also planning on wearing the Pattis with socks.

It's pretty logical to assume that wearing a similar shoe, only with socks, will make them fit tighter, so chances are you'll be fine with the 6.5 (particularly if your wear them with thicker socks or decide to put a set of insoles in them). :)

I think I'm leaning strongly towards ordering them! Oh, sale, why are you happening while I'm nowhere near a store? (But the discount is huge, so I guess I shouldn't grumble. *g*)

Hey, at least your shoe size exists.

It does now, at least! I was oddly fond of having really small feet when I was younger, but buying shoes was such a pain. (I know size 6 is on the small side, but until I was 19 or 20 I wore a size 4.5.)

It's so frustrating how many shoe sizes just aren't accommodated. I know quite a few women with wide feet who have a hell of a time finding anything remotely comfortable, on top of the sizes at the smaller and larger ends of the range. -_-

Wide feet? That would be me.

I like the look of Fluvogs but I have grave doubts that they would ever fit me.

If you ever want to look into it, I'd suggest contacting one of the stores (or visiting one--not sure if you're near one?) and just asking what they recommend. In my experience, the staff at Fluevog know a lot about the fit of the various shoes, so they could probably easily name the ones that'd be most likely to work with wide feet.

I've never properly taken advantage of it, but one thing I really like about the company is that if you order online, you can indicate if you want someone to contact you and discuss fit to make sure you've got the best odds of getting the right size on the first try.

(I say all this knowing that it's rather a lot of effort if your feeling is simply "Some of those look nice, but whatever". ^^)
