The girl is...I think about halfway through Feed now? Maybe a bit more? And Pumpkin doesn't give her time for long emails, but I'll be seeing her tonight at another friend's birthday party (and I must not, MUST NOT steal her away and ask to hear all about it in great detail).
Actually, one of the reasons I love talking to her about these things is very similar to why I also love it with you. You're both very sensitive to undercurrents and cues in the text, which is really neat for me to see, since I know what's coming. *^^*
And speaking of the party, I suppose I should peel myself away from the computer and go put on presentable clothing. (Not that anyone would care at all if I turned up in my pajamas.)
