End-of-weekend mishmash

Today's excitement was getting together with liannesentar and having supper and talking shop. *^^* People, I'm a freelancer who (usually) lives on the east coast of Canada. We think it's okay not to learn people's favorite fandoms and pairings right away. (Though of course this comes from people whose encounters very rarely involve people who even really understand what anime is.) If it ever becomes important, that's just fun stuff to find out later on.

That makes sense too. It's just...my fannish side is such a huge part of me that it weirds me out to think of someone not knowing. O_o (My Halifax friends are mostly not geeks, and only a couple are into anime and manga at all. But AFAIK they all know.)
