The political and religious debate happening lately has gotten me thinking about those beliefs that are most basic to me. These are the beliefs that I am completely committed to, affect the way I live, and are applicable to a wide range of issues. There appear to be only three of them.

Okay, like I said, I'm bad at marketing, but let me tell you where the term comes from.
According to schema theory, when a person remembers an event, he doesn't remember it as a picture or any kind of cohesive whole, but rather as an associated set of categorizations/schemas. A person takes input from his senses and contextualizes it under his existing schema set in a process called assimilation. If a person is unable to adapt his schema set to the situation, he creates new schemas or subschemas in a process called accommodation.
The process for internally separating out different sets of schemas when evaluating different approaches to the world requires a lot of self-discipline. Although I don't think at this stage in our evolution that this process can be perfect, it can, nevertheless, be very rewarding.
Anyways, hence the term schizoschematism, which conveys the notion of disparate sets of schemas within a single mind.
