In the preface to The Hollow, our unnamed first person narrator tells us that people are saying that someone we don't know yet killed herself. The narrator is sick of hearing this rumor. Meanwhile, people are asking the narrator is he or she knows what happened over and over. The narrator does not know, but claims he or she has been haunted ever
