Quick Update

It's getting harder and harder to keep on top of the various methods of social networking.  I started with Diaryland which pretty much went belly up but I spent a lot of time uploading pictures there.  Switched over here to LJ, which still get checked regularly although I don't post much and if I do it's because there are family and other friends ( Read more... )

You could get N a registered name and device. That's an awesome birthday present right? ;-p

Did you say a 'duck'? From the quick background check, I assume this is Don? What a great idea... I'll put you two in touch.

Seriously, I have four 'submissions' to wade through first, but they'll have to wait until I'm suitably unemployed :)

Fed them at lunchtime. Still walking and clucking. The rivalry over an osso bucco bone with marrow in it was most revealing of their inner dinosaurs.

No pay packets for anyone at work. Sucketh big time. This week is officially stinky!

I have always thought that the best gifts are those made by the giver. Since he wants you to have more time for projects, the obvious answer is to make him something. Alas, not knowing him, I have no idea what he needs or wants. I have given away an awful lot of birthday tunics over the years myself...

Alas his birthday happens in just under 3 weeks. I'd love to make him something and I even know what that would be, but I'm time poor.

This weekend I'm running our monthly Revel potluck event (tomorrow - prep today). Next weekend I drive down to Melbourne to teach at their A&S weekend event. Back on the Monday - b'day is Wednesday :(

As to clothes, he's got waaay more than I do because he gets someone else's hand me downs. Two brocade Persian full swing tailored coats were the most recent gift. Barely worn. One in dark green, the other in burgundy. So gorgeous I wore one recently and went to Jon Dai's knighting as a Persian boy :) Lovely and warm. The gifter has grown out of his clothes size wise and knows I'm a hopeless sewer (we love them very much for realising that fact!)

It'll come to me. It always does :) I have plans to make him a Polish outfit next year. At least I have a full year to improve my skills.
