This idea really shows that you take peoples writing seriously. I know a lot of people look down on fanfiction, but that is soooo unfair! Something like this gives writers the respect the deserve imo.

I love this idea. Fandom-fic awards are always so great, both for readers and writers. Readers, because we get to see which fics are generally considered the best in their category, and writers because, well, you know, you pour your heart into something and to have it recognised is always nice. :)
Name: ...like, my name...? Marie. LoL. Category Name (i.e. Moonstone Award): I would have used "Fangs" but that's already been taken...hmmm...I don't know right now. I'm stumped, but if I think of anything, I'll come back and leave another comment. Category Award (i.e. Best Fluff): Best Elena, post-Turn fic
And this is a neat idea! If you need a hand I'd love to help out. I tried to think of new sub-categories but couldn't :( EPIC FAIL ALREADY! Haha!!
I think that just means you've got most of the important stuff covered though so, YAY!
Maybe the only other thing I'd like to see would be:
Name: Not sure what you mean by this... Category Name (i.e. Moonstone Award): Bloodlust Award (??? I have no idea!!) Category Award (i.e. Best Fluff): Best Katherine+/Damon

What your asking is which of the catgories you post are categories we think should be in the contest?
Are members going to vote only on fics that were recs in this comm?
If not, will you be allowing nominations for other pairings or characterstudies?

2. Not at all. I'm very aware there are many more fic that have not been recc'ed. All fics relating to TVD are open for consideration.
3. Yes! The major categories are for overall fics, in any pairings. The subs will be for character/ship-specific fics.
