Love the idea that Jim can sense when the sun truly sets and the lengthening of the days. And kudos for making it be Jim, for once, who wants to do the untraditional thing (with Blair eagerly helping, of course).

A very nice collection of stories!

1. Ha, Blair's mind reminds me of a Mexican Jumping Bean.

2. Interesting glimpse that Jim doesn't like the past. His own or even history. It makes him feel not grounded. And Blair in the background chattering away... hmm. Jim can carry a grudge, though. So, he avoids thinking about the past but not because he's resolved things and moved on. More like he's kept those feelings frozen and if he revists them they thaw and then he's got to deal with them instead of ignoring them.

3. Nice little ritual being developed that ends on a teasing note between them.

4. Ahh, Jim's making assumptions but really, who wouldn't want to celebrate Solstice. I was married on the summer solstice, (not pagan, but the idea of marking the longest day of the year appealed to us). And I'm always glad to see the year turn.

5. Jim lost in the sensations of the ceremony. Bonus points that Blair's half naked.
