While we're here, what's your stance on fourth-walling? Sherlock Holmes references don't come up in Claire's portion of Heroes canon so I can fudge it and say she doesn't know them buuuuut since she reads Nietzsche in canon, it's hard to pretend she doesn't ... know Sir ACD.
