WHOSE RESPONSIBLE THIS.

ETA: This, for my money, is the best ostrich scene in a movie ever, so there really isn't any reason to make another movie with an ostrich in it, is there? Unless it's a documentary about ostriches, I guess.

Sorry it's in...um. Just imagine that Seannnnnn William Scott is telling Ashton Kutcher that those are not, in fact, llamas, but ostriches ( Read more... )

Well have you seen Ninja Assassin yet? And if not, WTF is taking you so long? ;P

I missed the theatrical window. I'll catch it on DVD. I have to say, I've made enough jokes about ninja assassins since then to merit a watch of that. Surely, it can't worse than, well, 90% of what I watch, willingly, already.

Are you kidding? The prospect of ostrich racing makes me even more excited! :D So much LOL. Perhaps I am easily entertained?

Yeaaaah. Good luck with that. You, of all people, I'd expect to be offended by this news, seeing as you are one of few I personally know who is invested in this story. Well, can't fault your optimism!

I am invested, but I already know the movie will not be the game - Jordan Mechner, the creator of POP, wrote the original Sands of Time game and also wrote the screenplay for this movie. He's been involved in many aspects of production and is giddy as a schoolkid about it. He's also been very vocal about the fact that the film is not meant to be a direct adapation of the game - and he's right that it shouldn't be. It's the concepts and characters that are movie material, not the narrative of the game itself. The concepts are a goldmine, and can be developed in any number of ways to make for a fantastic adventure movie.

Yes, ostrich racing is LOLtastic and silly, but it's probably just part of a montage about the Prince's street-urchin origins. I bet he hijacks the race to show off his skeelz, Aladdin-style.

If you say so. I'm trusting that you know better than I. I only reports what I sees. And I sees Jake Gyllenhaal and Alfred Molina talking about ostrich racing and I go o.O

I try *not* to read those things--I only get confused. Just tell me what I'm supposed to remember or forget, as the case may be. :)

I will be happy to see Prince of Persia if anyone else wants to go. It should at least be amusing and pretty, no matter what.

Oh, and Ninja Assassin ROCKS!

I think there will have to be an outing to Prince of Persia. But! I think the outing will have to consist of us going to an all-you-can-drink brunch prior to going to the movie. Sound good?

Man, I can only imagine how much better that movie will be after booze. I remember being drunk enough at Dallas BBQ to think the second Pirates movie was really confusing. Then I saw it sober and it was just stupid. This? Could be amazing. I'll need to have someone record the stupid shit that will be coming out of my uninhibited mouth.

I never saw Dude, Where's My Car? and, sad to say, I laughed at the "Dude!" "Sweet!" routine.

I have to turn in my degrees now, don't I?

Actually, Dude, Where's My Car? is really funny. It's also, bizarrely, sci-fi. I highly recommend it. When I worked at Blockbuster, I got it on DVD for my sister, and she was laughing so hard at it in the other room, I had to watch for myself. It was perfect. My whole family likes it, to the point that my sister's each got it for one another for Christmas once. That was adorable.

It is more than a joke, it is an internets meme.

Also, I love that you corrected me on the correct "who's" to use, but left out a criticism of the fact that "Who's responsible this" is still missing a preposition. I missed it myself when the meme first came. I thought it was funny because of the lack of question mark and the all-caps. It took a second reading to see that it was missing the word "for" in there.

People who make posts criticizing pronunciation should not follow up with pronoun confusion, that's all I'm saying.

And my eye stuck on the "whose." I didn't read any further before posting. Must...correct...why does the internets have no red pen?
