I am perfectly poised between cackling with laughter and flailing with glee. I pretty much did a lot of both - because OMG how totally awesome of your dad to bring you your own MRE! And I got vicariously very flaily and excited about the whole MRE experience (whilst feeling that Rodney would be most disapproving about how lont the whole food preparation process actually turns out to be, in contrast to the instant gratification of ripping open a powerbar. And OMG, LEMON POUNDCAKE!!!

Also I was charmed to pieces by the mini Tabasco bottle, and the breathmints to enable the soldiers to make out. And the choice of beverages! And the Moist Towelette. (Which, yes, I suspect may count as telling.)

Awesome. And then the car! You are VERY lucky!

Hahaha, awesome *g*. The stew actually looks surprisingly edible! I'm quite impressed. I love all the little packets of stuff, though.
