Sakura looked at the building in front of her. She'd fitted the ANBU mask over her face for this--not that her hair didn't give her away, not to mention the flowers growing in it. But she liked the mask. It made her feel... Anonymous. Detached. Sometimes she needed to remind herself that this wasn't just personal--it was always personal, it had been personal since she'd seen Naruto's body, dead, the survivors rallied by Danzou, not even time to retrieve her best friend's body--this was a mission. This was justicerevenge, it was necessary.
Still, she was grinning beneath the mask. Sasori and Nagato--they'd been disappointing. Too easy. She hadn't even stuck around to watch them finish dying. There'd been... It had been satisfying, yes, but there'd been no real triumph in it. It only frustrated her further.
Stealthily she climbed the wall to the second story window, opening it silently, slipping into the house. Madara was here--she knew him as Tobi. Or she was fairly sure it was Tobi, without the mask. But it didn't matter. He called Deidara senpai, he would either die by her hand, or lead her to killing the other members of Akatsuki. Or both. She sensed another too, familiar. Gills. It was her lucky day. She'd been tracking Kisame the longest of all--Itachi's partner, the monster shark man. That was a kill worth counting.
She hoped they wouldn't disappoint her. She hoped they'd put up a fight--struggle, scream, cry cry, look at me and show fear. Show hate. Know you will die, and be afraid, beg. Beg like I begged for my family back--if every member of Akatsuki kept disappointing her she wasn't sure what she'd dosnap right down the middle but maybe giving them two-on-one odds would increase the interest level.
Feet padding silently on the floor, Sakura crept through the house, hunting.
