WOTC's Dummy mistake

Heya Guys, if you haven't heard, WotC has done one of the dumbest things that I have ever seen a company do. They forced all the legally selling PDF's of all their products on all sites that were selling them,(I.E. sites like Paizo, and DrivethruRPG) to be taken down ( Read more... )

Thanks for the heads-up about the WW free stuff. I had heard about WotC's idiocy, but not of WW's offer. Just downloaded the free stuff! Can't have too many RPG systems! *g ( ... )

To be fair, WOTC has not said anywhere that I can find that they are doing this to combat piracy. They might start to sell them from wizards.com, in order to keep the proceeds themselves instead of allowing 3rd party vedors access to this. Who knows why, they haven't actually said anything.

The original source of the piracy info was a moderator on the WOTC forums who was told that it had to do with Piracy issues.
