One Local Summer Dinner #3, State of the Tomatoes

Wednesday's trip to the farmer's market brought the wonderful discovery that the local harvest has grown much more diverse over the last week - now so much more than potatoes, carrots and leafy greens.

It surprises me how satisfying it is to eat such simple food. I tend to cook heavy, bean-ful stews and sauces, but it turns out a plate full of fresh veggies is really quite nice!

I have to be in the mood for veggies, but when I am, I can't get enough of them. And the fresher the better. Those ones look so yummy!
