supes_mv_awards ballots are up. I could hardly vote in any categories because I don’t read most of the authors/pairings that made the final ballot, unfortunately.
Okay, well, not torn, exactly-but I’m really hoping that
Together doesn’t win in the slash romance category. I have this paranoia that if it won, some people might actually read it, and I really would hate for that to be someone’s introduction to slash in this fandom. It’s porn and fluff, basically, with little to no explanation as to why Clark and Richard are together. Although I will admit that I think
Convergent Dreams is a decent Richard/Clark story to start off with, not in the least because it’s AU, so it changes the whole problematic dynamic that plagues this pairing with the strict film canon.
But, mainly, I’m crossing my fingers that
jen_in_japan will win, because
Music of the Spheres totally kicks ass (and is hot like FIRE). If you haven’t read it yet, what are you waiting for?
And, awwww,
Three Things made it into the other pairing romance category! I’d be totally tickled to get votes for that, even though the remix (
Love You Both) is way better. I swear
likeadeuce is the only writer in the world who has actually made me love Kate Bosworth’s Lois. Seriously, if you haven’t read this story, again, what are you waiting for? It’s incredible.
Speaking of recs, I think I’m almost ready to sync up my del.icio.us account with
recsalicious. I guess that means it’s time for me to figure out how exactly to use del.icio.us glue, armed with
this tutorial by
wistfuljane. Here’s hoping I don’t break the internet too badly as I fumble my way through it.
And I resisted this meme for a long time because God knows I’m always behind on requests, but I’m so curious to see what you guys think I wouldn’t write. I mean, hasn’t experience shown (*cough*Bush/Pelosi/Condi*cough*) that I’ll write anything? *g*
Name three fics you think I will never, ever, ever write. In return, I will attempt to write a line or two of one of them. (Any fandom I know is eligible, whether I’ve written it before or not.)
