This is what I call 'self-indulgent writing'. When you just write without caring for anything XD. Black Lagoon is a lovely, lovely woefully underappreciated action seinen manga/anime.

I think it should be, technically, even rougher because Revy is quite without artifice and some of the wording here like 'coquetry' and 'tokens' isn't something I'd see her vocabulary consist of :P.

Hmm, yeah I should cut back but this was pretty much written for therapy, so not here lol XD. Though I think I can cut out one or two ... XD

I think I like writing Revy's POV because you can really channel anger and frustration so well with her.

I've got a handful of such fics in my mems and there was this one Benny fic that I really liked, but I haven't read a lot :/

I think Revy is a very unpretentious character -- and I feel this fic is already a level too pretentious for her, in fact XD.

They are a great pairing.

Revy shows glimpses of nearly vulnerability, and then goes smiling like Alucard and shooting people ♥

I've only watched first season, but I looove that scene in which Rock and Revy knock off noodles and have a fight and she nearly shoots him. I think he really stood up to her that time.

I think it would be interesting if Rock actually had his way - because I think that he can top. Especially if Revy called him a wuss beforehands.

LOL, I want Revy to insult Rock on purpose to make him top hard. That's sort of thing she'd secretly enjoy, but never admit it.

Also, pillow talk:

Rock: Revy, how are you? (or something equally considerate)

Revy: *snorts, sound asleep*

I think Revy is a lot of fun to write: more dynamic and real than a lot of other characters out there. I'd say this for Rock too.

They contemplate each other -- he's her rock (lol) and anchor, and she enrages and encourages him in a way ... other people don't.

She's quite vulnerable, deep down. I don't think she's a tragic heroine, but there are definitely flashes of her being a bit of a ticking time bomb. Her unfuelled aggression is a huge warning sign.

I read the manga XD. And own the anime, incidentally. That scene made me think of Rock and Revy to be one of sexiest onscreen anime couples ever -- the way they just ... bring out these emotions in each other is ... wow.

He would top. He could. I mean, he's not a wuss; he's a non-action guy, yes, but dangerously shrewd and intelligent. He could top her and would do it.

Actually, what really appeals to me is that the show is full of tough, kickass scary female heroines somehow managing not to cheapen them with fanservice.

Yes, we constantly get glimpses of Revy's nether regions, but she is like a caveman about it - yes, I wear those sexy shorts, so what?

I wasn't expecting Rock to turn out the way he is - he is definitely resourceful and dangerous in his own way.

They have what I like to see in pairings: like you said, they invoke something in each other that no one else does.

Yes, that really appeals to me too. They are scary, sexy and definitely not just there for Male Gaze TM.

LOOOL. I actually imagine that she doesn't shave herself. Or pluck her eyebrows. Or do any of that lady stuff XD. She's quite a tomboy. Hmm, maybe she does shave her legs, but I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't o.0

The manga does have him turn out to be darker eventually. He's getting corrupted, bit by bit.
