Despite the fact that they had all managed to get back alive, and with some of the technology that they'd been sent for (even if it had been stolen), Kang didn't view the mission as a success. Far from it, really. He'd been deceived, branded, disrespected and treated like property, and had dealt with fellow crew members telling him to shut up and deal with it as if it were a mild, one-time inconvenience, and not something he'd dealt with his entire life.

He'd heard about what had happened to Harriet, too; he had never grown to completely trust or like any of the CLF, but she had given him her luck. She'd expressed a very real desire for him to be reunited with his family.

Handing him a necklace on a simple gold chain, Harriet smiled, "I hope this brings you luck and helps you find your family again. It's sad to be alone ( ... )

Kali had been doing her very best to be helpful, even with the worry of people arriving back and her father still not appearing. She was running trays for Kaylee between tables, a bit bemused to find herself in this position, but not truly bothered by it by it ( ... )

"Papa!"

The look on his face immediately turned to utter confusion at the sight of the draconian girl running towards him, and he barely managed to open his arms enough to catch her before she jumped up into his arms.

Kali. It was his daughter. But she was... she was older, not a hatchling anymore. When had she woken up? Were there any other members of his family awake? How old was she?

How much of her life had he missed?

Kang was speechless, returning her fierce hug with one of his own as he tried to process what the hell was going on.

Kali did not know any of what had happened on the mission, she did not know about the brands or the war that the crew had started, or anything that had buffeted her father the past week ( ... )

Jr. spotted a few new faces when they returned to the ship. None familiar to him, however - MOMO, KOS-MOS, Ziggy or Canaan would have found him instantly if they had awakened, Jin and Shion would have probably been around when they returned out of curiosity of what sort of things happened on the ship. chaos, Jr. guessed, would have just known where to be, as chaos was like that. He would have felt Gaignun, and Albedo ... well, he could always feel Albedo. Of course, he wondered how many of those he thought about could wake up on Stacy ... but he never thought about that for too long.

So instead, he opted to head to the Drunken Dragon when he heard buzz of people heading over there. It'd be nice to see and speak to Kang anyway, finally able to rest without a short amount of time and choices hanging over them. To the others - any others who might have passed and made eye contact with him, Jr. would smile and nod at them in greeting to maybe get some new introductions going on.

One of the buildings Hoshi hadn't been to was the Drunken Dragon and she decided to stop by and see what it was like. She wandered around a bit and came across Jr., a little grin coming forth. At least there was someone she knew around here, but that didn't mean she couldn't meet new people, too!

She walked up to him and waved in greeting, still smiling. "Hey, long time no see!" she said, stopping just a short distance away from Jr. "How've you been?"

"I've been better," he admitted, looking down and rubbing lightly at his right leg. "But I'm still better off than a lot of the others who just got back too, so I'm not really complaining." He grinned. "Looks like we missed new guys coming in while we were gone."

"Mm, I can imagine." Her eyes darted to him rubbing at his leg, concern on her face. She wondered what else happened on the planet, but decided to not ask right now.

"Yeah, you did. I've been trying my best to make friends with them and get to know the other crew members more, too."

Zedd was exhausted, physically and mentally. He didn't care how the mission went at this point - he was gone from it. Out of sight, out of mind. But, the things that happened there still bothered him. He knew that those like Hit Girl had considered him an annoyance, especially since he backtalked towards her precious Lord Zetta. He knew the heroes who had disappeared weren't dead, but no one would listen - he wasn't sure if they wouldn't listen because he was evil or there was something he wasn't being told that they should have.

And who knew when someone would complain about that fake fight.

At the moment, though, Zedd took a seat and just let himself stew in his anger. He'd get back at everyone soon enough, just they wait. He wouldn't be their punching bag anymore.

Nanaki had no idea why he decided to come here. Especially with so many people that seemed to be inside. But he was young, and he was curious, so when his ears caught sound of others in the distance, he had changed the path he was taking through the city to curiously go check it out.

He understood the reason for things like bars, but they were never anything that appealed to him. Maybe on rare occasion he would have a drink of some fancy or rare beverage from the canyon, but that was it.

He wondered why so many people were in there, but he didn't make a move to actually enter, sitting just outside and looking up to the window and through the door hesitantly.

Zouichi spotted Nanaki outside the tavern, and gave him a brief wave. "Hey. Were you part of the latest pod release?"

One amber eye looked over to Zouichi, and Nanaki gave him a small nod in greeting in return (since, you know, paws, waving). "Yes, I was."

Was he that obvious? Or maybe it was because there weren't any others like him on the ship. He did tend to stand out like that often.

"I kind of figured. I do a lot of wandering around, so I can usually tell new crew members from old ones. Are you settling in all right? It's kind of a shock, learning that your world was destroyed and all."

He glanced at the bar. Did Nanaki want to go in, or had he merely been watching?

Kaya had decided to pour over her new nursing guidelines at the Drunken Dragon, politely asking the barmaid to keep the mead coming, as she preferred it to beer right now. She had for several months now given up the idea of trying to make her own beer: who had the time? She was already training wherever she could, reading as a hobby, and now being a nurse was going to be taking up quite a bit of her time. A part of her was quietly scolding, saying that she was throwing herself into this to avoid feeling bad about Matt, but she didn't have any time to listen to THAT either.

Matt was gone, and as hurtful as that was, she still had tons to do, and could at least make sure everyone on the bus was looked after, as he would have done.

So anyone approaching would see Kaya reading and writing things down in her newly obtained nursing packet, looking busy.

Despite the events that usually carried on in places like The Blue Recluse and the Slaughtered Lamb, Nokosi really had missed his time ducking in and out of the bars and taverns in Ironforge and Stormwind. The drunks always had the best stories, even if they were heavily padded with layer upon layer of fiction, with truth stretched so thin that an Ogre would question the authenticity of the tale.

The longing for the bustling, loud and generally cheery mood was why he found himself here, today. He hadn't planned to really drink much, lest he find himself in a string of awkward situations, but the atmosphere was what he was looking for, anyways.

Taking a quick glance around the homey bar, he spotted the back of a head that he recognized. Kaya looked fairly busy--not that that deterred him one bit.

Nokosi took long, languid strides to the table she occupied and sat himself down in a nearby seat but didn't utter a word. Instead, he leaned over to view what it was she was reading.

Kaya was still anxiously working, making notes in margins, organizing what she would be reading next and when, and found that the mead was already running low. She had a slight buzz going on, but nothing too severe, so she asked for another round. It was at that point she noticed that someone was reading over her shoulder, and looked up.

"Oh, Nokosi, hi!" Kaya said, brightening immediately. "I meant to find you! How have you been?"

His eyes lingered on the text, even as he was addressed. He'd been mouthing the words in the book, attempting to sound them out with his elementary level of literacy.

After a small stretch of silence, he finally looked towards Kaya, his smile mirroring her own.

"I have been as well as could be expected at this current point in time. I would say the same for Fontaine, since he is not here." Fontaine did like bars just as much as he, but for an entirely different reason. Barmaids and free scraps of food.

"And you? Busy as usual, I see."
