Just checking things out.

Hilde wasn't exactly sure what she was doing, but she figured that she needed to get away from that scrap yard of hers for a while. Sure, it was good to be home, but without the colony being there, she didn't have a whole lot to do. She couldn't go out with Duo to salvage anything outside of the ship. There were no mobile suit battles going on and ( Read more... )

"And?" asked Soren, who apparently had no qualms about wandering into another person's Sensorium time (these things were always full anyway). "Wars end, and inevitably begin again. There's no point in mourning or celebrating them. Unless, of course, you're the victor. And you won by a healthy margin."

Hilde did not look amused as she turned to look at Soren. She had been thinking and remembering, not celebrating. She wondered why he would just barge in here and talk to her like that. He didn't know her or what went on during the war.

"I was just remembering things."

Because Soren was a jerkface, that's why.

He shrugged. "Are you going to be remembering things for a while? I've been trying to find an empty room for an experiment I want to run, but have thus far been unsuccessful."

Now that got her temper to flare. She didn't like being ordered around by someone like him. Sure, she followed orders while she was in OZ, but she wasn't a soldier anymore.

"You'll just have to wait a little bit longer or go ask another person to end what they're doing."

"I swear I'm on the moon," came a voice that belonged to a man who'd wandered in here by accident and was unwilling to deconstruct the sensorium-illusion enough to easily find his way back.

He wouldn't have this problem if he had noticed the sensorium was in use when he stepped in it. Like a normal person would have.

"This was OZ's Lunar Base," Hilde said as she noticed another person here. She wasn't sure why others had bothered to come here while it was in use, but she figured that she would at least be polite about things. "So you are on the Moon, or a recreation of it at least."

"Well, that would explain it." He flashed her a casual smile, apologetic and friendly in equal measures. "Sorry to wander into your place like this. I got so far in before I noticed it was in use I couldn't find my way out again."

"It's all right. I'm Hilde Schbieker. I actually was stationed here for a while before I left OZ. I can show you the way out," she said, returning the friendly smile. "This place can be a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around."

Miranda didn't come to the sensoriums often - she was usually much too busy at the Med Bay, or trying to read at the Media Library in the hopes of becoming a better nurse. But today she was feeling...homesick. She missed the Order, all her friends. Maybe she could just...call them up, just this once...

Except when she arrived, she found another place there entirely, and someone else already there. "Oh...I'm sorry!" she said, her eyes widening. "I...I shouldn't have disturbed you, I...I'll go now..."

Hilde looked up from her wanderings and blinked at Miranda. "It's all right," she said. She was getting ready to leave anyway. "You weren't disturbing me at all. I was just seeing how this place worked. I've never been here before."

No problem! (I imagine the DDoS didn't help either) clock_chime August 7 2011, 00:14:03 UTC
She didn't want Miranda to go? But...well, if she really didn't mind...

"Is this from your home?" she asked, looking around. She wondered why it was so empty - maybe she didn't want to see any people from home if they weren't real?

"It is. It's the OZ Lunar Base where I met one of my friends," she said. "I didn't really understand how to program this place, so there isn't anyone else here. I'm still new to this thing."
