Brideshead Revisited     HD480p 36MB   HD720p 69MB
Big screen adaptation of the novel written by Evelyn Waugh. The story begins in 1925 at Oxford, when Charles Ryder (Matthew Goode) is befriended by the louche and flamboyant Sebastian Flyte (Ben Whishaw), son of Lord Marchmain (Michael Gambon), and is quickly seduced by an exciting new world of money, glamour and outrageous behaviour. When he is invited to "Brideshead" Charles becomes infatuated with Julia (Hayley Atwell), Sebastian's beautiful sister. But as Charles' emotional relationship with the Marchmain family deepens, he finds himself continually at odds with their deepest family bond, that of their overpowering Catholic faith. Emma Thompson plays Lady Marchmain. Directed by Julian Jarrold (Becoming Jane, Kinky Boots).
Oh those British people!

Hancock     HD480p 59MB   HD720p 159MB    Intl 15MB
Full trailer for this action comedy about a hard-living superhero (Will Smith) who has fallen out of favour with the public and who enters into a questionable relationship with the wife (Charlize Theron) of the public relations professional (Jason Bateman) who's trying to repair his image. Directed by Peter Berg (The Kingdom, Friday Night Lights, The Rundown).
Very funny. Still looks like a custom-made role for Smith. It was about time to bring a healthy dose of irony to the super-hero genre. Also, an international trailer version with a tiny bit more explicit language.

Babylon A.D.     HQ 6MB   HD720p 17MB
A first, very short teaser for this darkly futuristic action thriller about a veteran-turned-mercenary (Vin Diesel) who agrees to escort a woman from Russia to Germany, not realizing that she's the host for an organism that a cult wants to harvest into a genetically-modified Messiah. Based on the novel by Maurice G. Dantec. Also part of the cast are Gérard Depardieu, Michelle Yeoh, Charlotte Rampling, Mark Strong, Melanie Thierry and Lambert Wilson.
Directed by Mathieu Kassovitz who also made The Crimson Rivers and Gothika but who internationally is probably best known for his role in Amélie.
Teaser isn't long enough to tell but could be entertaining.

The Happening     9 MB
I thought we already had enough trailers for M. Night Shyamalan's (Lady in the Water, Signs, The Sixth Sense) new movie but here's another intense and scary one.
Paranoid thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity. In case you're sensitive towards those things, judging from the trailer, it involves evacuating New York and people jumping off houses. Leading cast members are Academy Award nominee Marky Mark, Zooey Deschanel and John Leguizamo.

Finding Amanda     HD480p 36MB   HD720p 103MB
Darkly comedic indie drama about a television writer (Matthew Broderick) who's working on a low-rated, little-respected half-hour sitcom and who has a gambling problem. When his wife (Maura Tierney) finds recent racing stubs in his glove compartment, after years of standing by him, she leaves. So he decides to try to win her back by trying to rescue his niece Amanda (Brittany Snow) who they suspect is working as a prostitute in Las Vegas. Steve Coogan is playing a casino host. Directed by the creator of the TV series "Rescue Me".

Iron Man
Just a public service announcement, loopychew thankfully informed me that if you're planning to see Iron Man, it's a good idea to stay until after the credits.
