The weekend after his birthday, Skye calls pretty much everyone he's ever met and invites them to this place for his birthday party. Which, thanks to Cory's genius, is a masquerade complete with live band and fancy-ass ballroom

Jamie shows up adorned in blue and gold with this matching mask "Skye, darling. This is fabulous. Everything looks... holy shit. I've never been to a party this facet before."

"I just really thought your friend might have been in trouble," he chuckles sipping his drink.

"Well. You are. I'm glad you're here. i was starting to wallflower by the drinks," he smiles.

[gabe_bryan]

"He's always in trouble."

Gabe replies with the same mild tone.

"He is trouble. I like him well enough for it."

[queen_jamie]

"So.... you're a trouble kinda guy? You like trouble?" His tone is light. He doesn't mean to imply anything.

[gabe_bryan]

"Not so much these days. I've had enough trouble to last a life time. These days I'd rather just live a decent life surrounded with decent people with integrity."

He shrugs.

"But the things that seem to interest most people never interested me much."

[queen_jamie]

"You're doing ok with that though, right? I mean, life has been better recently?" Seems like it has been, from the talks they've had.

"That happens with me and dance a lot. But I try and find common ground anyways."

[totheskye]

"Jamie, sweetheart, what did you expect?" Skye replies over his shoulder, shrugging out of his pinstriped suit jacket before bounding towards Jamie for a hug. "Hey there. Nice mask."

"Did you get a look at that fucking cake? Casey is a crazy-talented bastard, right?"

[queen_jamie]

"I expected exactly this! I;m just saying!" He chuckles, giving Skye a big hug. "Thanks, darling. Happy birthday."

"I did! i complimented him on it. We're gonna eat the whole damn thing, huh," he kisses Skye's cheek.

"Hellz to the motherfuckin' yeah, we're gonna eat the whole damn thing. Wanna bite off one of the strippers' heads? Come do it with me!" he demands, tugging at Jamie's sleeve insistently as he recoils from the hug -- though not before the other gets an excited and not entirely chaste kiss.

"I'm gonna set up a conga line once everybody's drunk."

"I would love to bite off some heads with you," He laughs, following after Skye, accepting the kiss happily.

"I think they're well on their way."

"Careful, gorgeous, or I'll get tempted to bite off a real stripper's head!" Skye growls, turning around to nibble playfully at Jamie's jaw before continuing to lead him to the cake.

"It'll be kickass! You'll love this buildin', it's full of secret corners and shit!"
