LSD: Long, Slow, Distance run

Oct 03, 2018 16:33

It's been a while since I posted anything here, and I just wrote a great entry elsewhere about my run this morning, that I thought worth sharing. Just like my run, I intended to just write a little bit, and it kept getting longer and longer...

Come, run with me! )

That's an interesting description!.... I didn't realize you were a marathonner!

I'm not... yet. As far as official runs go, I've done two 5k fun-runs, a 7k race three times, a 12k race three times, and one half-marathon. I plan to make the Harbin Marathon my first, next August.

And besides, as the salt goes:
"How do you know if someone's run a marathon? Don't worry, he'll tell you!"

I've only gotten as far as the 5k. XD

Keep running! :D Whether you stay constant at 5k or you find yourself running an ultra in a few years, it's a worthy experience!

Took me a while to get back and read this. Very cool! Sounds like such a neat place.

One of my friends has a Chinese girlfriend from Shanghai, unfortunately we missed her by a day when we went to Phoenix last week. We met her a few months ago, nice lady. Her son manages a restaurant in Phoenix, she's retired from some sort of executive job and learning how to teach yoga.

Yeah, it was a really nice run. I quite enjoyed it.

I haven't yet been to Shanghai myself, though I hear it's a wonderful place to visit.
