I love this! I especially love the inclusion of Lil, her attitude toward Erin reminds me of 12 year old JJ. And Erin saying 'your thong-wearing ass' almost made me LOL except I'm in the cubicle of doom.

This was dark, sad, sweet, and so many other things and I love the white lilac at the end. That was poignant. Ouch on her telling Jason she wanted to see other people the night after she fucked David....ouch personified. But this was very Jason and very Erin and I just wanted them to come to an understanding and mean something to each other again so they could feel. How sad it must be to just go through the motions of life and hold no one close. Its such a brutal, sad city. And thinking about Sam got me weepy again. I hope they break him out.

Anyway, this was lovely.

Haha, well it seems wherever Jason is Lil is around as well because she wasn't planned, haha! Yeah, I sorta can't believe that one came out of Erin's mouth either...but I love that it did, lol! I think, if Erin and Lil continue to run into each other, they'll have a begrudging respect for each other

I love the idea of she and Lil begrudgingly respecting each other. I can see Lil wanting to cut her for hurting Jason even if it was a long time ago, but Jason would put the kibosh on that. I also dont see Erin be an intentional cheater, I can see Dave being a seducer (especially as you write him in this universe) and then just discarding her. Love how she got the roommate back though, so Erin when she's at her wounded worse.

Google helps me find all that stuff, I found the same thing about roses and I think lilacs for an old Gideon/Prentiss piece I wrote.

Poor Sam. How can he run the diner if he's a fugitive? Oh well, I'll be interested to see how that story turns out.

It is indeed...especially because it's so rare.

Well I think both ladies like the others' fearlessness and boldness, haha! Yeah, Lil's first thought if she heard about what Erin did to Jason in the past would be to cut her up but, haha, Jason would never allow such a thing. Heehee, yeah, I don't think he does it to be an ass, necessarily, I just think he presumes its "a good time" and they think its a relationship (he never clarifies to avoid a fight and then, well, bigger problems ensue), haha! I think David she's a touch more lenient with because she's known him and his nature virtually since childhood but he did hurt her...she just happened to focus that hurt and anger on the other woman and Erin's not a girl to fuck over, haha!

Well the diner itself is gone so he'd have to open a new one if he went back to that. ...I'm really not sure how he'll move on and live as a fugitive though...not yet anyway...we'll see, haha!

Wow! I really love how you bring everything together in this universe and how everything falls into place! The conversation between Erin and Jason was priceless and I love what you did with the lilacs!

The history you gave Erin/Dave and Jason is just what I imagined it and I've played with it myself some time ago.

I also enjoyed Lil and Erin. Isn't it great how women recognize one another and can come to an understanding?

I like to read about the vulnerable Erin who has seen it all and just knows herself and why she is what she is!

Haha, aw, thanks! I'm always surprised how many different angles this verse has and forever grateful I've yet to be messed up by them, lol! Honestly I don't think this story would have worked as well if it weren't lilacs so thank you for the prompt! :D

It's funny, I'd never have thought of it to start but now, in this verse at least, the triangle makes perfect sense to me and I really love it. I'm hoping to get to play with it more, heehee!

Oh goody...I'm never sure how people feel about Lil (outside the few who've said already) but I sorta liked the two facing off here. And, haha, your description of their interaction is pretty perfect :D

Me too, which is why I prefer writing Erin that way as well - she's not always completely together, but she's very self-aware, for better and worse.

Haha, well that's a fair statement really considering what Lil is, hahaha!! (I'm just hoping people find her readable/entertaining/don't loathe Lil, haha!) Erin will and Hotch will too when he finds out who and what Lil is and her relation to Gideon...and, I'm sure, so will most the others on Hotch's "team", haha!
