The neighboring plum and pear trees are in full bloom, and their scent is unbelievably delicate and intoxicating. I am so glad to be living right here, in this house, right now.

Pardner seems to be feeling a lot better.

Pardner has pneumonia. I've seen him with bronchitis before, but I've never seen him this sick. It's very worry-provoking. I went out and got him a warm mist humidifier yesterday, which seems to help his cough so that he can sleep. Our special needs kitty with asthma has also been reaping the benefits, seeing as she is on full-time snuggle duty ( Read more... )

I was pretty sure that I was going to end up being a pair of Ugh boots, or maybe a pair of hikers. I mighta used to have the street cred to pull combat boots off, but now I mightily resemble an underexercised librarian. Have been walking a lot, though.

I just printed a photograph from my printer! I'm so excited I could spit. This could be a whole new world--snapshots are good for decorating cubicles. Digital born means I don't have to worry about wear and tear from framing. This is great! Now I have a funny picture of Pardner to look at when I get tired of counting slides.
