Why do so many of you appear to be acquiring pets? Enough of the residents here are not well house-trained as it is ( Read more... )

'vexed' doesn't quite suffice, mortality, i despise mortals, degenerate idiots, why must people annoy me?

Try some Vitamin C, aunt. I read it is good for fighting off illness.

Fighting off or for use as a preventative measure?

Because if it is the latter, it is of no use to me. I'm too ill-tempered to be well.

It boosts the immune system I believe.

Then I need to go to the store. Orange juice shall have to do in the interim.

Thank you, Horcus.

My wish are small, clean and unobtrusive, yo. It's why I love them.

You talk to them. Thus they cease to be pets and become a social life.

Yeah, huh, never thought of it like that but yeah.

They're cool fish by the way, yo.

I'm not sure which is more tragic; the manner in which you just took my comment under consideration or the fact that you're agreeing with it.

With more personality than the Apartment Manager, no doubt.

You are in no way concerned that it takes an animal to teach you to be tidy?

You will have to elaborate, I'm apparently ignorant as to what 'Fee' means as an explanation.

I got my dog because he looked so sad sitting on the curb I just couldn't say no.

You realise it is manipulation. Those 'sad' faces are a device used to survive.

Man's best friend is effectively man's most beloved parasite.

I do, but I still love him-he's a sweetheart.

He may resemble a parasite, but I think he is worth it.

No, he is a dog. The race evolved to manipulate human emotions in order to survive. That is the only reason you think he is a sweetheart.

I did not say he resembled a parasite, though he fits the definition. But then so do children.

Our dog was a gift I gave to Achilles and Briseis. She is the child we wouldn't bring to this place, knowing what happens to us back in our time.

And I would still say she is the more civilised.

I would agree with you on that count.

Dogs tend to take heed when informed--in whatever manner of communication they understand--that their actions will get them killed.
