Well, my life may be getting more interesting around the office quite shortly here. We've got a problem agent, let's call her Chickypoo. She's an employee agent who honestly doesn't believe she's an employee or that she needs to listen to the agency manager at all. She whines and complains and demands rules exceptions because she had one really big ( Read more... )

Oh I have a number of lovely fantasies about how to deal with her. Much less the absolute disaster that is her office.

Erk!

Oh, I hope this ends as well as possible for you -- I don't see any way this will end well for Chikypoo. Unless one looks at a sort of long-term karmic kinda, "well in five years she'll realize this was the best thing to happen to her" sort of thing.

Oh believe me, her getting fired would be one of the best things to happen around here in a while. Chickypoo also regularly fails to make sure she's in the office (or shows up before 1 pm) when it's her day to answer the phones while I'm at lunch. Now the agent who has this task for the day also gets all the leads that come in that day and any unassigned client who needs help gets assigned to them as well. When asked to be sure that she makes arrangements for someone else to cover, Chickypoo told me to my face that she "doesn't get paid to answer the phones." Chickypoo then has the unmitigated gall to complain to upper management that I'm not supporting her properly. I am NOT fond of Chickypoo; some days she's a really nice person. Hell, I gave her my 401(k) rollover business.
