XX5: Sincere Apologies.

Nov 26, 2008 10:38

TO ALL. It is unfortunate to report that despite intensive preparation and hard work, the 10th Division Open Invitational ran unsuccessfully. No words are enough to apologize for the unexpected match-up confusion as well as any damages and/or injuries resulting from it. However, as Captain of the 10th Division, overall event supervisor and ( Read more... )

now paying your bills, a sincere apology, no ichimaru allowed, not a joke--perfectly serious

Arisawa's injury is regrettable. I had not meant to harm her as I had. I believe this should be taken up with Gin-sama, I certainly did not apply for this game of yours. I wish her the swiftest healing.

Understandable. Your concern is genuinely appreciated.

I do intend to have words with Ichimaru once the current pressing matters have subsided.

That is a very curious stance for an Espada to take, Stark-san. Nonetheless, it attests to some decency of character.

I'll send mine to the First Division first thing when I get home.

I appreciate it. Also, I would like to apologize for what happened at the event; be assured that I would never arrange for such a completely unfair match-up. However, the cause for such confusion is still currently under investigation.

Don't mention it, sir. I never thought for a moment that this was yours or the Tenth Division's doing, and it was my own decision to fight the Espada. I should have withdrawn.

Nanao-chan and I will finish up the paperwork and send it your way as soon as possible. Nanao-chan actually has most of it finished already.

Don't take responsibility for his actions, Hitsugaya-taichou. Both he and Sousuke-kun live by their own set of rules and ways of entertainment.

I understand that, Kyouraku-taichou. Despite that, I also understand our current position in Soul Society--not to say that I agree with it or like it. Unfortunately, there isn't any evidence to validate allegations against Ichimaru. While I know for certain that I would never arrange for such a disaster, there are others who perhaps would consider my motives questionable; others search for someone to blame and aren't likely to point fingers at Ichimaru since there hasn't been any incident since the 'transfer of power' from the King to Aizen. There is no other stance to take in my position... other than to assume the responsibility for what wasn't the purpose or intention of my proposal to begin with.

Division Thirteen was mercifully spared any serious injuries. My condolences to any that have suffered greatly.

Just goes to show that even extending them an open invitation to show some decency will only be spit on. My only hope is that the despicable treatment they showed, especially toward Hinamori-san, will disenfranchise the people from the rising tide of complacency toward Aizen and Ichimaru.

While there are many who've come to resent Aizen and his dogs, I could understand those who'd wish to place the blame on me instead. After all, there haven't been many other severe incidents since the Winter War; naturally, there are those who'd easily pin the blame on me for what happened during the event, regardless of sincere purposes and intentions. At the very least, it will undoubtedly incite those who are already angry, but some cannot move as overtly as others.

You know my situation with Hinamori. It's because of this I cannot take an outward stance. I'm sure you can understand it well.

Yes, I understand quite well.

It's very unfortunate that this could lead to a loss of reputation for yourself and the Gotei 13, but I must keep the faith that most will be able to come to the conclusion that this was a sabotage job. Call it naivety on my part, and it may just be, but I have to hope.

Give my well wishes to Hinamori-san when you see her.

If not naivety, then idealism. Indeed, it's important to maintain one's hopes in spite of the situation at hand. I will manage to whatever degree those in the 10th Division can. I apologize for my spotty attendance during the captains' meetings; however, reports indicate there is talk of Soul Society shifting to a more 'democratic' state. That being the case, I will try to be in attendance next time to provide my feedback concerning the matter.

I will, Ukitake-taichou. Hopefully I will have an opportunity to visit her soon.

Have you any word on Hinamori's status?

I believe that she is out of the 4th now and back in her own quarters.
