On his second day on the road his lack of a plan is still in place. He stops every few kilometres to stretch his legs, or to take pictures every time something catches his attention. As much as Jin likes moving on, he never leaves without at least a souvenir, mostly photographs that will later trigger memories of every single place.

He's driving at a leasurely pace, enjoying the changes of scenery; the heavily populated cities turning into smaller towns turning into seemingly endless green interspersed with even smaller villages here and there. He's leaving one of these areas when he notices, some metres ahead of him, a dark spot on the side of the road. He immediately realises what it is.

Jin hates loneliness, except when he's driving. He likes to travel alone, doing things his own way, which is why offering rides is never something he even considers. He drives past this hitchhiker, a man - he thinks, wondering what it must be like. They're not that different, he thinks; in a way, Jin's like a hitchhiker of his own. Well, why the
