Question! (And possible discussion)

Feb 03, 2008 01:22

So, I already posted this question to my journal, but since I am horribly anti-social, haven't gotten any help. I'm trying to write a fic, but two things have kind of stumped me. I figured this was as good a place as any to find some help ( Read more... )

Yes, that does sound familiar. I'll take another go at finding the actual reference, but I'm pretty sure that's it. Thanks!

There's nothing on the Sci-Fi website. I've scoured that for clues. Does this mean I could possibly play with it?
that's cause the scifi site SUCKS. (sorry, a little biased) as does the whole channel these days, minus these 6 hours.

so yeah, i'd take that as license to play.

I'll have to take your word for it. We don't get the Sci-Fi channel in Canada. I would assume our Space Channel isn't much better.

Oh, and play with it I shall.

But Sci-Fi airs everything before Space does. Tin Man hasn't even been aired here at all, and it's going to premier on a pay-per-view channel. I like our Space originals, but sometimes things are aired so randomly that I just never know when to tune in.

Wikipedia is going by the original plan the writers had for Tin Man . Cain originally was going to be a detective investigating the murder of an elderly woman. When the writers got the go ahead to do the mini-series they changed everything - except for Cain being a cop in OZ and the title of the show.

Cain doesn't look much like a detective, though. It sounds a little to... urban for him. Though, I suppose Central City is an urban centre. I'm just confusing myself.

If the writers had gone with their original idea then they might have made him look more like a detective and he probably would have lived in Central City. But they did say that even then they had wanted Neal to play Cain so at least that didn't change. ^_~

So in answer to your original question, no, Cain is not a detective and I didn't see him portrayed that way.
