Don't be jealous, but I'm reading the best book ever written. What wonderful thing was it that made me see it at the library and borrow it - the title, Last Summer - a Summer Boys novel or maybe the surprising revelation that it is part of The New York Times Bestselling Series.

So yesterday I lost about two hours of my life to this list, the 25 cheesiest songs of the 70s. It wasn't so much the songs themselves - I didn't know all of them, even the one about canibalism - and the idea of definitively writing a list of cheesy songs from any era is pretty ridiculous, but still. It's Olympics time, which means cute boys from foreign countries, watching sports you only see care about once every four years, and the man that Clodia (and where are you, babycakes?) once memorably descirbed as having a two paper bag face.
