Elisabeth Sladen, the wonderful actress who played Sarah Jane Smith on Doctor Who from 1973-1976 and the Sarah Jane Adventures from 2007-2010, died yesterday. She was 63, and had been battling cancer for an unknown length of time. It was a shock to many people, myself included.
