Krampuses are serious business. When I lived in Austria my best friend and I got beat up by a bunch of them while her host family laughed at us.

Also, there's a city in southern Austria-- Klagenfurt, maybe?-- that has a HUUUUUUUUUGE Krampustag festival where tons and tons of them gang up on the unsuspecting tourists.
