I try to do this once every 6 months or so. I don't even tell anyone... I just do it. And generally when i get cut from someone else I remember it's just LJ... maybe they got sick of me talking about my depression, issues, and dog! ;)

Most of the time I don't mind if I get cut. A couple times I had to scratch my head and shrug, and there was one time when I got genuinely upset (because we'd been more than LJ friends at that point, and it was just a sudden cut of all communication). I just don't have time to read 325 people, especially people who I don't have any kind of interaction with, and whose posts I skip all the time.
