This is one of the old Mama Talks I recovered from our computer last week. Stephen still contends it is my best ever, better than the Father's Day one about him. I find that hard to believe, but read it and tell me what you think

I agree with peregrinefalcon. This one is so good it gave me chills, but I still think the father's day one is the best I've read.

eegads - reading back through this makes me wince. just for the record, this is NOT the editted version that appeared in the paper. (thank goodness!) and also for the record, my editor at the t-n did more than just copy edit the typos. she talked with me about what my message was and helped me tighten my writing so that it was stronger and less blah blah blahish, which is how i naturally write. why use just one word when you can say the same thing with five? ha ha. anyway, i'm wondering if that's the reason you guys liked the father's day one, because the writing is just plain better. or is it more the content?

i dunno, i guess i agree that the fathers day one is better, but i think its more the way its written that what it says. i think i like what this one says better. maybe.
