GAWD, that was a horrible experience, too. No electricity for five days. FIVE DAYS. Like, DAMN. I thought I was extremely deprived until I saw how my brother was acting. He's sitting in the middle of the stairwell, looking up at my older sister, "I'm in despair!" Then there was lightning and a thunder, and my brother walks into the room my sister ( Read more... )

i'm glad that you and your family are okay and suffered no major damage. our house held up pretty well, even without the plywood and shutters and all, but the screens in the screen room ripped and flew off and stuff... kind of ironic because the ones that got messed up were just done on thursday and the older screens held up perfectly...anyhow, i didnt have electricity for 3 days, and after the first three hours you KNOW i through a fit over it. i'm so high maintenace (sp, my mind is like...gone right now). so some family friends of ours live up in lantana and the shingles fell off of their house, then the insulation got wet, and the roof and walls are like...demolished and they can't even live in their house anymore and everything is destroyed. they stayed with us for like a night, now they're going out of state, probably to avoid hurrican Ivan (go figure that would be the name of a HORRENDOUS storm...lol). That sucks so bad for their house. I really hope they win the Extreme Makeover.

I was most worried about you, because you didn't have any shutters. I'm glad to know that you're okay.

Didn't have to worry about me. My house was built after 2001, so it was built to endure hurricanes. :P

Yeah, it's big. Kitchen's too far from the computer, though. >_

3> Miss ya kid. Glad you're okay. I didn't have your number to check on you... Eh but yea you're the same as us ...5 Day-ers...That's the breaking point. I'm convinced. By the end of day 5, people leave their houses and go to hotels. See ya.

Missed you, too. I'm hoping Ivan doesn't hit our area, again. It's SO annoying to not have electricity. I'm pathetic; I need electricity. -_-
