Ten

Dec 31, 2010 10:39

For picspammy 's End of Year Lists Challenge 25. My attempt at a more comprehensive one, although it's still not exactly as epically long as it should be, which explains the explosive amount of text. Originally, I was just going to do my favorite athletes, because I was doing that before the challenge started, but, well. I like to make things.

Also of note in a year end challenge, the things I do throughout the year, Scrapbook 2010 and Books and Movies 2010.

p.s. That's my picture in the header. Rachel from Gloriana, being gorgeous, as always.

First of all, everyone just needs to look at this. It's a-freakin'-dorable, amiright? No really. Most adorable thing I've seen all year, probably.

Seriously. Cat why are you so absurdly adorable?

10 Actors From 2010
or, ten people I liked making images of...

 D.O.B.: April 30, 1986 (age 24)
Roles: Quinn Fabray, Glee
To See: (for me, specifically) Sarah Hart, I Am Number Four (though I'd like to read it first)
Dianna is gorgeous, okay. This might be my favorite graphic, actually. I don't know why I wanted pictures of people on stools, but I did. I can totally see Russian in her. And, I mean, really, she's dating Alex Pettyfer. Who is decidedly attractive. As far as Glee goes, she and Sam are fairly adorable, though I liked Puck/Quinn and that just kind of fizzled out for no apparent reason other than the fact that she had the baby...Also, however brief it was, she was on CSI:NY which we all know is probably my favorite show and yeah. And I always like the blonde girl. I don't even know.

D.O.B.: August 19, 1977 (age 33)
Roles: Sir Anthony Knivert, The Tudors; Bob Spencer, Related; Andrew Jacoby, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement
To See: Definitely the rest of Related, and also I'm interested in Dead Like Me (Mason) and Secret Diary of a Call Girl (Alex)
Calllluum, why were you only in season one? Not gonna lie, that's probably why I've only watched the first episode of season two. I lament over it every time I think of continuing. Ugh. Anyway. He's absurdly adorable (like that cat!) in Related. And I've only seen the first two episodes. And I always knew there was a reason why I liked Andrew in PD2, although the other man was Chris Fine...Also, who was excited when they recognized his voice in Disney's Christmas Carol? Raise your hands.

D.O.B.: Janurary 15, 1978 (age 32)
Roles: Detective Don Flack, Jr, CSI: New York; Jim Craig, Miracle
To See: I would not mind finding cameos on Charmed and L&O:SVU because it would be very interesting (and by interesting, I mean amusing). Also This Is Not A Test (Robert Forte) because it also has Carmine Giovinazzo. ♥
Eddie is my favorite. Ever. For real. Last I watch Miracle (during the Olympics) it froze on him coming out of the locker room yelling at Herb (I don't know why, because, really, my favorite '80 player's Johnson...? But the Santa suit? A+). And you can't see it in these pictures, but his eyes are gooorrrrgeous. He's a large part of why New York is my favorite. Also, Don Flack is the center of the only fanfic I've actually cared about (even though I haven't updated since...March...).

D.O.B.: August 20, 1983 (age 27)
Roles: To be honest, I've seen him in nothing. Even though I'm fairly certain everyone knew I wanted to see the Facebook movie, it never happened. D:
To See: Tommy, Never Let Me Go; Eduardo Saverin, The Social Network; Peter Parker, Spiderman Reboot
I'm in love with this kid like no other. I don't think I've ever loved a celebrity so much without really seeing anything of him. But I want to. Garf's middle name is Russell, how can you not like that? And I'm excited for Spiderman, and I don't even really like Spiderman that much (James Franco was probably my favorite part of the last trilogy...actually I never saw the third one, anyway). I still think he looks similar to Mueller (see athletes), and if the wunderkid ever does anything so megaextremelyawesomelyawesome that warrants a movie, Garf should play him. Like, hardcore, should. If that's not reason enough, he rejected Justin Timberlake as his friend on Facebook. That's badass.

D.O.B.: April 3, 1978 (age 32)
Roles: Declan, Leap Year
To See: Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias, Watchmen; Caspar, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister
I loved Leap Year a lot. I don't know why. Possibly because I'd been to Ireland earlier in the year. Anyway, Matthew was fabulous. Like...the kind of thing that makes you want to find your own Irishman. Yeah. From what I can tell, he's also absurdly awesome in interviews and whatnot. I mean, I watched one about some awards show that I didn't care about and he was adorable. Randomly, when I went looking for pictures I wanted ones without facial hair...and then I realized I was first attracted to him with facial hair. So, basically, I'm confused on that front. But now I'm definitely curious to see him in new things. :)

D.O.B.: February 17, 1981 (age 29)
Roles: Roger Bomman, Angels in the Outfield; Tom Hansen, (500) Days of Summer; Arthur, Inception
To See: Nothing in particular...though I would like to see 10 Things I Hate About You again. Because I've apparently completely forgotten it. And I wouldn't mind G.I. Joe, but that's irrelevant.
JGL's always been here. But naturally he exploaded with Inception and (500) Days of Summer for some bizarre reason. Summer had some funny parts and his acting was pretty superb, but I didn't really care for the movie that much. Inception, however, might have been the first movie in awhile that I've wanted to read fanfic for right after I watched it. And I didn't think I'd like the movie at all (admittedly, the trailers told you nothing about the movie...). Anyway, who doesn't still love Angels in the Outfield? (I love sports movies like woah.)

D.O.B.: March 24, 1974 (age 36)
Roles: Lily Aldrin, How I Met Your Mother
To See: Willow Rosenberg, Buffy/Angel
Ginger! I don't know that I'll ever see Buffy. The good news with that, though, is that it's complete and done, so it's not like I can fall further behind than I already am. Basically, Alyson's here because Lily is an amazing character (Lily/Marshall is an amazing OTP) and in general she just seems like a fun loving, happy go lucky kind of person. Which is totally awesome. I love gingers, a lot, by the way. (Did anyone watch The Singoff? There was a guy in the Whiffenpoofs that I definitely called Ginger everytime he came on the screen...no lie).

D.O.B.: Janurary 1, 1986 (age 24)
Roles: Merlin Emrys, Merlin
To See: Nothing I know of...except, of course, more Merlin and also his episode of Doctor Who
Colin Morgan, why is your accent so outrageous? And why is your face so amazing? Seriously, I'd always loved Merlin before, in the beginning, you know, but the season two ending (MERLIN AND MORGANA = it's still like :O), and Season Three was amazing. I stopped really paying attention to Arthur, I think (not that I don't still love Bradley James), because Merlin just started being so awesome. Awesome. I mean that. Why so amazing, Colin?

D.O.B.: June 2, 1977 (age 33)
Roles: Spock, Star Trek 2009
To See: Star Trek sequel, anyone?
I'm not a ZQ crazy, I'm not. In fact, I never found him attractive until I actually saw him act in Star Trek. He is, however, naturally, the reason why I would consider watching Heroes. Although, that show apparently fell apart. I don't even know what to say about him, either. To be honest, he was more of an obsession at the beginning of the year...and that's been awhile. (But I do want to watch Star Trek again sometime in the near future...I mean, I own it..).

D.O.B.: October 16, 1981 (age 29)
Roles: Alice Hamilton, Syfy's Alice; Dr. Amelia Shepherd, Private Practice/Grey's Anatomy
To See: More Private Practice?
I loved this girl in Alice when I watched it in Janurary. Alice was gorgeous and a total badass. And then I kind of forgot about her a bit, because, really, it's not like I was going to rewatch it a million times. But then she showed up on Private Practice and it was awesome. For real. I can't wait for more of her (though I hope they don't ruin Charlotte/Cooper with a Cooper/Amelia thing...that would be lame, because Charlotte and Cooper are amayzing).

Television

  • Merlin - Ohmygosh, Merlin. The finale of Season Three was so...Ah! So many legend references and what not. And Gwaine! Gwaine was undoubtedly the coolest non regular character on the show. Lancelot never really did much for me (which is odd, because he's usually my favorite). Merlin was amazing, as I've already said. I'm hoping Arthur's King, finally. Morgana was getting somewhat annoying, though, I'm not gonna lie. I like Katie, but she was just like pretending to be all innocent and then smirking in every scene she was in. It's a bit ridiculous, writers! But maybe she'll be doing awesome things now that she doesn't have to pretend...
  • The Glades - I don't know if you've ever listened to Matt's actual accent (he's Australian), but it will blow your mind (kinda like Colin Morgan's). Anyway, Jim is a really funny, charming, well written character. Everyone on this show is pretty amazing, actually. I missed one or two episodes, but I'd like to go back and see them eventually. Really, Jim's just freaking awesome and there's a good amount of humor to make the show easily likeable.
  • Saturday Night Live - Naturally. What's there to say, really? Oftentimes they do some questionable stuff that's not really funny, and they're missing out on women, but it's still entertaining, usually. Seth Meyers, Bill Hader, J.Suds, Fred Armisen, Kenan Thompson. Random guests spots also make things fabulous (What Up With That randomly has awesome people like Robin Williams and James Franco)...Anyway. Yeah.
  • How I Met Your Mother - Like I said, Marshall/Lily are an awesome OTP. They're the right mix of hilarious and adorable and I'm totally ready for a real baby story like because I imagine pregnant Lily is very amusing. I still kind of feel like Robin and Barney'll end up together. And I love Ted. What's not to love about Ted? I don't know why he hasn't met the mother yet with how Ted he is. Although, I do believe the show'll have to end within a few seasons, because they kinda had a set age with the kids in future time...
  • One Tree Hill - That last episode was so on the edge of your seat it was crazy. Because none of their episodes this season really have been. Naley's really the reason I watch anymore. They're really all I care about...and I feel like they end up being comedy often, which is absurd because they're kind of the only constant the show's ever had. Oh, and there should be more Naley interaction with Clay. Because I do love Clay, but I still feel like Quinn/Clay is random. And I missed him in the last few episodes.
  • Rizzoli & Isles - Yes! Powerful female roles! Jane Rizzoli is completely badass. And Maura's adorable and you always learn something new from her. Also, Frankie! If Frankie dies...D: Not cool. I was totally upset by that. I missed a lot of this show, to be honest, probably only saw like half of the season, but it was great and I'm ready for more. There was a lot of epic storylines for a first season, I have to say...Maura's family and Jane's past (which, I think, should have ended quicker, but that's me). On a sidenote, I was glad Charlie Swan (I don't know his character's name) wasn't a bad guy, 'cause I totally thought he'd turn out to be one...
  • Private Practice - Hmm. I don't know about this one. I don't know why we couldn't just leave Charlotte/Cooper alone. Because they were(/are?) amazing. But I don't know what they're going to do to them. Pete also got somewhat interesting, but I've never really cared for Violet. Addison's not bad by herself and has some good lines ('and to top it all of I'm barren, so that's good times'). And Sheldon and Amelia both seem to be worthwhile characters. But I haven't particularly been enjoying this as much this season. And to be honest, I didn't miss Naomi at all when she was gone...
  • Sherlock - Holy crap. This was the most amazing thing I saw this summer. The modernization was so well done, I mean, Watson being an Afghan War Vet and Sherlock playing with his phone all the time. Ace. Benedict was really superb as Sherlock, I think. I know a lot of people think he didn't perfect him, but I don't really think Sherlock Holmes is a character that can be perfected. And Martin Freeman when did you become so excellent? The only qualm I can think of off the top of my head was how long it took them to realize it was a cabbie in A Study in Pink. Because, I mean, really...ugh, I don't understand.
  • Bones - Bones has also been rather lackluster this season. I haven't seen the last episode before the winter break yet, but it just looks depressing anyway and I don't have the desire to watch it. Emily's had some very amusing lines, though, and also Hodgens is love. I feel like Daisy's becoming more permanent which I don't understand because when did that happen and what? And I also feel like Vincent wasn't as adorable awesome as he was before in four and five. Meh...maybe the season'll pick up, though.
  • Doctor Who - Okay, so I kind of cheated with putting this one on here, because I haven't watched a lot of it. I mean, I watched Season One of new Who and then part of Season two...and I've seen like one Episode of three. But I want to see it all and that counts for something, I think. I can't wait to see some Matt Smith, although I love, love, love David Tennant. I'm not entirely sure about how much I'll like seasons three and four, though, since I the only companions I really care for are Rose and Amy...hm.
  • The Office - Some of it's outrageous and I don't really care for it. But Michael Scott is hilarious. And John Krasinski and Jenna Fisher, PBandJ, are still like the best part. Although, I do wish there was more Ryan...I actually like Erin, and I definitely like Gabe. Can I admit that I feel like I missed something/the writers are just making crap up with having Holly come back as Toby's temporary replacement. Jury duty doesn't take you away for that long (usually), and I also don't feel like HR is all that important to them that they couldn't do without...but whatever. Also, I miss David Wallace. I loved him for no particular reason at all.
  • CSI: New York - We all know it's my favorite, because it's Gary freakin' Sinise, and Eddie Cahill, and Carmine Giovinazzo, and Anna Belknap, and AJ Buckley. In terms of this season, I don't think Jo's a bad character, just that they're pushing her too hard (like they did with Jesse on Miami) and making whole episodes solely about her (although I think she stands a much better chance of lasting and likeability than Jesse did). And while I'm sad that Don and Danny are more comedic than anything I love it because they're very amusing (and also both very attractive). There should be more Danny/Lindsay, since they're married and have a kid and all, but whatever. And...Gary Sinise, you're absolutely amazing. I don't even.
  • The Vampire Diaries - So I never want to watch this, but then when I do I'm always like why did you just abruptly end, it's not fair. This show actually feels like one long movie to me, which I think a good drama show should. These vampires are intense and the werewolves are violent and the storylines always take you by surprise. And it doesn't hurt that everyone's gorgeous. I'm an Elena/Stefan shipper all the way, because they're adorable...and I just have to say that I think I could definitely go for Damon/Rose. But, really, it hurts this cast is so awesome.
  • Glee - I feel like Glee's gone downhill pretty steadily since it's start. I mean, the road to sectionals was amazing, but after that...downward spiral. I still watch it, of course, for amusing lines and the hope that something original Glee like will happen. Ugh, show, I don't know what to do with you. Really, at the moment I can't even think of a redeeming quality, except that you put Darren Criss on my screen, but even that's bittersweet, because, honestly, I hate his character.
  • Army Wives - Army Wives, on the other hand, is fantastic. Except Chase and Pamela, of course, because they're just ridiculous (Although Chase rescuing Michael was totally ace). Frank and Michael and Trevor/Roxy are all wonderful. Sometimes there are storylines I hate, but it all works out rather brilliantly in the end and it's definitely worth watching. Though I'm not particularly upset I missed out on Seasons One/Two. They don't seem to be all that fantastic...
  • CSI: Miami: This show is ridiculous. It always has been. It's watched, generally, for the laughs, because...well, Horatio Cane is such a weird person. I was totally upset by Rick being a bad guy, though, no lie, because I loved Rick. A lot. Ryan's my favorite, I won't lie, but his character's just getting back to where it was, as they moved him to the background even more and made him rather stupid in season eight, which doesn't even make sense because we all know he's intelligent. Show, you are absurd.
  • The Tudors - Like I said, I can't really bring myself to continue Season Two. Which is pathetic, since I've only watched one episode of it, and I'm borrowing it from a friend, and I am excited for Anne Boleyn. I am, I think, at the moment, more interested in the Tudor children than Henry, but either way it's the Tudors. The extra five-ten minutes on the episodes from a regular, main stream network show really exhausts me, I think. That's probably my biggest problem. That, and I don't know what's actual historical fact and what they've made up (for instance...did I miss Margaret procreating? Didn't she just die? That makes no sense whatsoever, considering she married James IV of Scotland and her granddaughter was Mary Queen of Scots...)
  • Parenthood - I love this show. And I'm sad that everyone doesn't love this show. The only think I don't really like is that the parents are having difficulty. I don't get why there can't just be a happy old couple in a television show. The four kids are amazing when they're together, though. I love them all individually, too, but when you put them with other people, I think the girls get a little crazy, and Adam's starting to, too. But Crosby is amazing, and I'm not just saying that. He might actually be the best character, and with Jasmine and Jabbar. Adorbs. Also, I love Joel, and I kind of love Haddie's "romance".

Artists

The four concerts I went to this year (pretty much back to back). :) There are a ton more artists and songs that I loved this year, but it's really hard to list them all (especially making sure to not leave any out...).
Athletes
I promise they're not all soccer/football players...

Xabi Alonso
D.O.B.: November 25, 1981 (age 29)
Position: Midfielder
Club: Real Madrid
National: Spain
I think Xabi looks a bit like Dennis Quaid, myself (particulary in
this...which is, admittedly, very attractive, look at that jaw line!). And
he's a ginger, which we all know I love. :) Honestly, I love Real for
whatever reason...and aside from my love of Cas and Ozil, I needed
someone else worth looking for...enter Xabi Alonso. Also, he's a
beast to take that kung fu action at the world cup, because that
looked awfully painful.
Carlos Bocanegra
D.O.B.: May 25, 1979 (age 31)
Position: Defender, US Captain
Club: Saint-Étienne
National: USA
Captain America! I love Boca. A lot. He's my favorite soccer
player/footballer. Seriously, only soccer jersey I own says
Bocanegra on the back. Which is why I'm infinitely sad that he's
and 'oldie' in the sport. S-E bought him on by birthday. :) I love
American sports so much, dude. Also, his roomies for life with
Dolo was lovely. And also the bit in the bar in Chicago before
the Poland friendly. Why so awesome? ♥

Jonathan Bornstein
D.O.B.: November 7, 1984 (age 26)
Position: Defender, Midfielder
Club: UANL
National: USA
Benny and Johnny's roomies for life was also totally awesome,
especially because they had their fabulous hats. ;) Johnny
totally made the Nelson Mandela challenge worth watching
(which, naturally, left me sad when he was out in the second
half. Though it's nice to see some new talent...but I don't want
to let my 2010 MNT go). I'm not sure about this transfer to
UANL, either...
Iker Casillas
D.O.B: May 20, 1981 (age 29)
Position: Goalkeeper, Captain
Club: Real Madrid
National: Spain
Oh, San Iker. He's definitely number two behind Boca. And is
probably in large part the reason why I love Real. :D I honestly
fell in love with him because of his reaction to the World Cup.
He's beautiful when he cries. ♥ Look at his face. Seriously. His
cheekbones are unbelievable. And can I take a moment to rant
that while I get it that Sara's his girlfriend so they might both
be of interest, when I'm looking for pictures of Iker, I'm looking
for pictures of Iker, not Sara. End rant.

Steve Cherundolo
D.O.B.: February 19, 1979 (age 31)
Position: Defender
Club: Hannover
National: USA
Told you I loved America. The other half to Boca's R4L (actually
it's Steve's interview, not Boca's, so, y'know). Dolo's thighs are
crazy, I just have to mention. Don't know if you've ever payed
attention in pictures. There's something about him that's
incredibly adorable, despite the fact that he's thirty-one. I don't
even know what. But it's nice. Never change, Mayor.

Clint Dempsey
D.O.B.: March 9, 1983 (age 27)
Position: Midfielder, Striker
Club: Fulham
National: USA
Deuce is so insanely hardcore it's not even funny. I don't know
why he's always the one who gets hurt, either, but it always
is. Also, Jackson Dempsey is an utterly awesome name.
Clint just seems like an awesome person to be around, I have
to say. And he always makes for an interesting game (as long
as he gets the ball...seriously, can't tell you how long I was
waiting on someone to get him the ball last time I watched a
Fulham game. And he also got hurt in said game. What up.)

Landon Donovan
D.O.B.: March 4, 1982 (age 28)
Position: Midfielder, Galaxy Captain
Club: LA Galaxy
National: USA
Landon's one of those athletes you love and hate all at the
same time, I feel like. I don't know what it is. His individual
interviews are fine, though, and I was definitely okay with him
representing US in the bid (and while I get everyone's issue
with his twitter comments afterward, I honestly don't think it's
that bad...which is probably what made me like him all the
more). Also, his commercials with Steve Nash are amusing.

Benny Feilhaber
D.O.B.: January 19, 1985 (age 25)
Position: Midfielder
Club: AGF
National: USA
Benny is one hundred percent attractive, except when he lets
his hair go wild. And he apparently beats everyone at games,
as we can learn from Stu's tour of their hotel in the WC (or, at
least, that he's better than Johnny). I don't know why Benny's
so adorable and yet so, well, male at the same time. Although
I do love it when they on their Safari a couple years ago and
he gets a little...male. ;)

Steven Gerrard
D.O.B.: May 30, 1980 (age 30)
Position: Midfielder, Captain
Club: Liverpool
National: England
Stevie, I love you. Before I discovered Germany and Spain,
England was definitely the only team I liked besides America.
He does some of the most bizarre and yet amusing things, I
have to say. Like, the classic video with Xabi where he slips.
Also, his bromance with Torres is adorable. Like, it kind of
makes me love Nando, a lot. And, in terms of club teams, I'm
Real Madrid, then Liverpool, then Bayern, then whoever has
people I love (I'm simple).
Stuart Holden
D.O.B.: August 1, 1985 (age 25)
Position: Midfielder
Club: Bolton Wanderers
National: USA
I always feel like Stu's much younger than he is. He is actually
hilarious and adorable, pretty much all the time. I mean, his
hair has its own twitter. And, bonus, he's Scottish. ;) And, he's
basically absolutely amazing toward the fans and does some
things that make you 'aw' like woah. Don't know if you've ever
been to his website, but you should definitely check it out.

Mark Johnson
D.O.B.: September 22, 1957 (age 53)
Position: Forward (Center), Coach
NHL: Penguins, North Stars, Whalers, Blues, Devils
National: USA
He has a degree in kinesiology. What now? (Google it, please.) No,
Magic's always been my favorite hockey player, which had a lot to do
with EPK playing him in Miracle, and a lot to do with his fantastic
hockey skillz, which are off the hook, yo. Also, he coaches the US
women's hockey team, which is fabulous. Like, a lot of fabulous. I
spent my entire women's hockey Olympic season telling the T.V. to
show me some Magic Johnson (because I'm awesome like that).

Ryan Kesler
D.O.B.: August 31, 1984 (age 26)
Position: Forward (Center), Alternate Vancouver Captain
NHL: Canucks
National: USA
Ryan Kesler is adorable. No, really. Look at that picture right there
and disagree with me. I dare you. It's crazy. Oddly, I wasn't all that
in love with him until after the Olympics, when looking at tumblr
(it's a problem, it's true). Because the clearest image is still how
sad and disappointed he looked when he got his silver medal at
the Olympics. Which was sad (and disappointing). But just looking
at gifs of him will make you smile. Seriously. Grinning (out loud).

Miroslav Klose
D.O.B.: June 9, 1978 (age 32)
Position: Striker
Club: Bayern Munich
National: Germany
I like the oldies, what can I say (although, lets be honest, thirty
two is not old. Miro is amazing. That's all I really have to say. And,
also, he has the best hair. It's hard to really shine on the German
team, since they're all so effing skilled at soccer, but I think Miro
holds his own pretty well, and he definitely manages to draw my
attention (see, first German to stand out to me...which means he's
always got a place with me :)).
Philipp Lahm
D.O.B.: November 11, 1983 (age 27)
Position: Defender, German Captain, Bayern Vice
Club: Bayern Munich
National: Germany
Little Lahm. Oh, Lahmmy. I actually wasn't going to put him on this
list, because I like so many Germans it's ridiculous (just wait...
they're all at the middle and end of the alphabet, which is
compounded in its bizarrity by the fact that the Americans are
generally at the beginning...), but then I remember things like him
on Basti's shoulders just to further accentuate the fact that he's
a midget. So adorable.

That's all.

Frank Lampard
D.O.B.: June 20, 1978 (age 32)
Position: Midfielder
Club: Chelsea
National: England
Here I just have to take a moment to mention how I hate eljay. I
mean, I was all the way down to Mesut...and it loses everything I've
typed...ugh. Anyway, this is unfair to Lamps. I think I call him
Lampsie in my head, but I wouldn't do it out loud. He's been hurt,
so I haven't really been paying any attention to Chelsea. That's
right, he's the only draw there. His bromance with John Terry is
epic. And his goal against Germany that wasn't absolutely should
have been. I felt so bad for him and England. Also, he's attractive,
which would be why I first found him through picspam (which also
happens to be where I noticed a certain number four...distracting
me from Lamps).

Carli Lloyd
D.O.B.: July 16, 1982 (age 28)
Position: Midfielder
Club: Sky Blue
National: USA
I'm learning about women's soccer and, you may have noticed, I'm
an American sports kind of kid through and through. Carli made
the list, because she's pretty and is number ten, and also,
because of a video on ussoccer's youtube channel which I'm to
lazy to find the link for a second time...I mean, she wore diamond
earrings to practice. That is classy. Also, her birthday's the same
day as mine, which is typically hard to come by (although, we do
have Will Ferrell).

Ryan Lochte
D.O.B.: August 3, 1984 (age 26)
Strokes: Medley, Back, Free
Club: Daytona Beach Swimming
National: USA
Ryan Lochte's the swimmer to watch, bro. Seriously, he's been
beating Phelpsie (who has, admittedly, been out of practice...but
that's irrelevant.) It's crazy to watch him swim, solely for how far
he can go under water. Which is, of course, the way to win,
because you can go faster under water and expend less energy
(not that professionals ever look like they're expending any
energy, anyway). But really. You should definitely watch him.
Also, he has his own shoes, which are shiny and green and say
Ryan Lochte across the bottom.

Ryan Miller
D.O.B.: July 17, 1980 (age 30)
Position: Goaltender
NHL: Sabres
National: USA
RYAN MILLER, I LOVE YOU. Why so amazing? In terms of
hockey player, he's my favorite after Mark. He was the MVP of
the Olympic tournament and is the 09-10 best goalie in the
NHL. So. What now, yo. His facial hair's fantastic. For real.
Also, he's the reason I own a Sabres puck. And I'm hoping to
see him play towards the end of the season...:D

Thomas Müller
D.O.B.: September 13, 1989 (age 21)
Position: Midfielder
Club: Bayern Munich
National: Germany
The wunderkid himself. Seriously, just look at him and try to
tell me he and Garf don't look alike. I dare you. Mueller is for
sure adorable. And he has so much energy it's not even funny.
Easily excitable, I'd say. I just hope he doesn't plateau, 'cause
I think he'll be fun to watch. Also, he's not even an entire year
older than me. Why am I not an athlete/have met people who
are fantastic athletes? Not cool.

Mesut Özil
D.O.B.: October 15, 1988 (age 22)
Position: Midfielder
Club: Real Madrid
National: Gerrmany
Oh, Mesut. I'm tempted to call him my favorite German all the
time. It's ridiculous. But I don't know if I can pick, when you've
got people like Thomas, and Basti, and Lukas, and Miro...etc.
A lot of people don't like his hair, but I disagree, especially
when wet. He, in combination with Iker, is the reason why I
watch Real...why I support Real. Also, he got a Bambi trophy.
So, there's that. ♥

Michael Phelps
D.O.B.: June 30, 1985 (age 25)
Strokes: Fly, Medley
Club: North Baltimore Aquatic
National: USA
I very rarely have anything to say about Phelpsie. I don't know,
he's definitely the kind of athlete I was talking about when I
was talking about Landon. It's just that there's something
about him, and I don't know what it is, that's likable to me.
And I don't know how you can't respect his eight golds, 'cause
that is epic. Really.

Aaron Peirsol
D.O.B.: July 23, 1983 (age 27)
Strokes: Back
Club: Longhorn Aquatics
National: USA
Peirsol's my favorite swimmer. I don't even know why, but he
is. I mean, I kind of hate backstroke (mainly because I,
personally, suck at it), but that apparently doesn't mean I
don't mind watching it. And he's kind of the best at it, overall.
Favorite. That is all.

Gerard Piqué
D.O.B.: February 2, 1987 (age 23)
Position: Defender
Club: Barcelona
National: Spain
I'll be honest, I don't like Barca, but Pique is very entertaining.
There's just something about him that naturally gives way to
him being amusing, most likely that he's just all gangly and
the like, which also, I think, makes him seem older than he
actually is. He does, however, have a tendency to be quite
attractive. I mean, just see the last gif in this post. You'll
understand.

Chris Plys
D.O.B.: August 13, 1987 (age 23)
Club: Duluth CC
National: USA
No position for curlers, because they fluctuate pretty easily, I
think. Anyway, the 2010 Olympics was curling all the way.
It was on all the time and it was actually worth watching. Plys
happens to be my second favorite player, and even though he
was only the alternate, he got some playing time and he was
adorable while doing so. And besides, he has the best hair.
Ever.

Lukas Podolski
D.O.B.: June 4, 1985 (age 25)
Position: Striker
Club: 1. FC Köln
National: Germany
Oh, Poldi. His smile is absolutely the reason why he's on this. No
joke. It's gorgeous and will light up your life. Explosively. He is
also very amusing in the way that all of the Germans generally
are and looks amazing in a suit, just so you know. And, indeed,
I'm glad he chose Germany, because I just don't think I could get
behind Poland...and also because of his bromance with Basti...

Alicia Sacramone
D.O.B.: December 3, 1987 (age 23)
Discipline: Artistic Gymnastics
Club: Brestyan's
National: USA
First off, I know this is really superficial and rather irrelevant,
but I honestly don't care for her when she's a blonde. I don't
know what it is. At all. But I didn't like her the Olympics...
that being said, she was really the only reason I watched
any of the World Championships in Rotterdam. Really. And
I was happy that she got gold in vault. But I'll be honest, I
still don't know much about gymnastics.

Bastian Schweinsteiger
D.O.B.: August 1, 1984 (age 26)
Position: Midfielder
Club: Bayern Munich
National: Germany
Basti is a total boss/badass. I don't know if you've noticed.
But I have. And he's also gorgeous. Don't know if I would've
cared to much for his looks when he had the bleach blonde
going on, but there's no denying his skillz with the ball. He,
also, like Poldi, is highly entertaining in the way that those
Germans are. And he knows fashion! What what. Also. I
kind of want a Schweinsteiger jersey, just because it
would baffle people like woah. :O

Jason Smith
D.O.B.: September 18, 1983 (age 27)
Club: Green Bay CC
National: USA
Club information may or may not be correct here. That may
be what my teachers meant when they said Wiki wasn't a
reliable source. But, really, this page just confuses the hell
out of me. But, anyway, Jason Smith is my favorite curler.
Ever. Period. End of story. I don't even know. And he's
totally besties with John Shuster which made the Olympics
worthwhile, and there is infinite sadness within me that that
team no longer exists. Sad face. But I still love Smithy.

Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir
D.O.B.: May 17, 1989 (age 21) & September 2, 1987 (age 23)
Club: Ilderton
National: Canada
So before soccer took over my life, Scott and Tessa were
probably my favorite athletes of the year because they're both
so utterly and absurdly gorgeous and do pretty things when
they're together on the ice and also give adorable interviews.
All while look absurdly gorgeous, which can never be
emphasized enough. I don't necessarily think they belong
together forever, but I kind of like the fact that they've only
ever skated with each other. And there are so many little
things which make them amayzing. But my favorite is still
Jack & Diane (which may or may not be because it's
Mellencamp).

There's also this gorgeous boy...

Fashion Bloggers

What I Wore || Sea of Shoes || My Style Pill
Blonde Bedhead || Jen Loves Kev || Kendi Everyday || The Daybook

Fashion blogging was a new discovery in 2010. I never thought I'd care much for fashion, and I still kind of don't because I'm not exactly suited for it...but at the same time I want to be. Especially shoes. I love shoes, boots in particular. And coats. But anyway. These are the seven that I follow closely/have followed closely throughout the year.
  • Jessica Quirk of What I Wore - Not even gonna lie, Jessica was the first one I found and that's probably the reason why I will forever check out her blog.
  • Jane Aldridge of Sea of Shoes - Jane's gorgeous, and has amazing shoes and a very specific to her sense of style which always makes for interesting outfit posts.
  • Christine Cameron of My Style Pill - I started following her because of the locations of her photographs, to be honest, but she frequently brings out outfits that are amazing and also links to things that I would find very useful if I ever actually get into fashion in the real world...
  • Andrea Kerbuski of Blonde Bedhead - Also not gonna lie here, I followed her in the first place because her hair is wildly spectacular. Also, in general, her shoe collection is fabulous and overall I think I just love her style.
  • Jen Lula of Jen Loves Kev - There's just something entirely appealing to Jen's blog, and it's always fun and interesting to learn more about motherhood. And it doesn't hurt that her and Kev are adorable.
  • Kendi Lea of Kendi Everyday - Kendi is quite possibly my favorite because I love her style like crazy, and by that I don't just mean her fashion sense. Also, her husband takes gorgeous photographs.
  • Sydney Poulton of The Daybook - I went through this entire blog in the first two days I found it. So that should tell you how I feel about it. Also, awkward and awesome Thursdays are kind of genius.
YouTube Channels

ussoccerdotcom
Best channel ever. No, really. It brought us Roomies 4 Life. And also served to further promote
my love of soccer and...America. Whatever. I'm so ready for 2012 Olympics. And also I need to
be watching the women's world cup. Right? This needs to happen.

nerimon
Alex has always been very entertaining, and I, admittedly found him because of fiveawesomeguys
where he was my favorite (except maybe Johnny...but then, he's the only one I still really follow). And
basically he does all kinds of awesome things. This year, Alex Reads Twilight was probably the best.

KieraCass
Kiera is hilarious and everyone should definitely watch her channel. And I should read her book.
I know it. You know it. We all know it. Anyway, she's educating the general public on book publishing,
which is nice and she's a relatively new mom, as you can see, and basically always posts things
worth watching.

fiveawesomegirls
So sad that 5AG is ending, but understandable, I suppose. First youtube vlogging channel for me.
And also how I found the boys below. All owing to Harry Potter, I suppose. I kind of love them all, so
don't make me choose. There's not really much to say, except that they're awesome (duh).

vlogbrothers
Words will never be enough to express the epic awesome nerdyness that is vlogbrothers and
the miraculous, beautiful, absurd, and amazing things that they create. So I don't really have
much to say. Except, well, don't forget to be awesome, and here's to an even more awesome
2011.

If this were my like button, I'd hit it a lot more. Just saying.

Also:

- Holy freaking crap, this took like an absolutely absurd amount of time. So it'd be lovely if you read some of it. But don't worry about it. I commend you if you read it all. But please don't be hating on my spelling mistakes and what not, because I don't really want to read it all again...
- Please don't hotlink/take images/claim them as your own...at least ask first. :)
- Credit: Alyson, Dianna, JGL, Eddie, Colin, Matthew, Gif two, Gif one, Athletes, others from Google. Concert photos, however, belong to me. Definitely don't take those.
- Also, youtube videos my caps came from:  5AG one, two, three, four, five, nerimon one, two, three, four, Kiera one, two, three, four, vlogbrothers, and ussoccer's is on like every video. So. And, all of the fashion blogger pictures came from their blogs and belong to them and etc, etc.
- I don't really even have more to say. Enjoy. :D
