Right now everyone in my program is stressing over course selection (at least, the people on Facebook). If you're taking a full course load of 5, then you pick 7 and rank them. This is a much better system than the one I used during my undergras (course registration begins at 7 am on a certain day, everyone jumps on the site at that time, crashes ( Read more... )

I'm still surprised by my ability to focus so intensely on cataloguing for a whole work day... day after day. It helps to be able to move between different projects (and I have several on the go), and it does call for critical thinking (unlike straight data entry), but still. Mostly it's very much Title! I'm writing a paper right now for management. We had to find a manager, interview him/her, and talk about it for 10-14 pages. I interviewed the executive assistant to the Liberal MP from one of London's ridings. I liked doing the interview itself, because she was young, funny and interesting.
