• I'm going to be an uncle.  Again.  My sister informed me earlier this week that she is pregnant with baby number 3.  She is scheduled to come into the city and have some tests done to make sure that all is well; she's pushing forty and there is apparently increased risk of things such as Down's Syndrome occurring.

The problem with writing something so ambitious is that there's virtually no possibility of it ever being performed - too expensive, damned near impossible to find that many musicians willing to try something so new without large amounts of money being involved. Good thing we have provincial arts funds - oh, wait, no we don't: the provincial gov't cut that by about 95%. Crap. So yeah, when it's done it will probably sit somewhere, gather dust, never to be seen or heard by the general public. Fuck it. This is primarily for me anyway, a testament of sorts.
