Come here, puppy.

I know why you snatched what you did from me. You thought I deserved it, didn't you? Because Rubedo allowed U-DO to seize me? You fool ( Read more... )

How strange, these assumptions of "desert" and "justice" you and others apply to the situation. Would it be wrong to presume that any here have grown beyond them?

I doubt you'll get a reply, just so you are forewarned. These creatures take as ill to demands as--well--I do.

I'll get a better reply than I ever did from you. At least these animals come when called. If I so wished to keep you around, I'd have to get a leash, and even then I'd never train you to speak.

Demands? Oh, so if I ask all nicely and perhaps give you a lemon cake, you'd finally stop being a stubborn mystery and explain what's going on in my world?

They're only strange because you don't get off your pedestal and experience real existence. Have you ever been deserted, or betrayed, or even opposed? You have everything. I know you're connected to Ormus somehow; I wasn't raised there a fool. I know you're Vector's CEO. You have the strings of society in your hands. You have it easy.

Grown beyond them? What do you mean? Justice is relative, but it's still justice per the situation. Betrayal is even more of a constant.

Do you know what happened? They took my voice. Do you know what happens to traitors? Split their vocal cords, so they'll never speak again.

I maintain that I am no traitor.

Permit me to clarify--I find strange your posturing, in one who claims to have abandoned so human a behavior.

Ormus, Vector, the society you and I came from--these do not matter here, so from whence your indignation? Surely you are in a better position than I am, being immortal to a degree even the laws of this place are bound to recognize.

Oh, it's you. The dog seems a little easier to deal with. I even went out and found a lemon cake for it. Well, looks like I get to eat it.

I am as good dead as alive...but they function better with life, though replaceable. What do you mean, though replaceable?

Very well.

Can Maemi and Siran really destroy our worlds if we don't do as they say?

Oh, so the three deities are your three masters. Celaeno is Adrastus; I know he likes Siran.

Why are they different? Who created them? Why? Do they have any weaknesses? Aside from each other...
